Hello, Yui-lovers. How are you doing?

Today, i just wanted to introduce one of my favorite japanese bands to you, Asian Kung-Fu Generation. The band consists of the following members:

Masafumi Gotoh: Vocals, Guitar
Ijichi Kiyoshi: Drums
Kensuke Kita: Guitar
Takahiro Yamada: Bass

Most of you have heard them, if you are following Naruto or Fullmetal Alchemist, since there songs " Haruka Kanata" & " Rewrite" is used in those.
The band has released some " early works" and the Nano Mugen compilation where a lot of artists participate, but this is their three "real" albums:

Houkai Amplifier ( 04/23/2003)
Kimi Tsunagi Five M (11/19/2003)
Sol Fa ( 10/20/2004)

They are releasing a fourth album, named "Fan Club", on March 15th !
I would like you to give this guys a chance, even if you didn´t like " Haruka Kanata" & " Rewrite". I didn´t like Haruka Kanata much, but then i got their albums, and now i like them alot. They have done much better music then those openings! Give them a chance! :D

hey, i luv this band! they friggin' rock out loud! XD anyway, my favorite songs by them are rewrite, re: re:, blackout, loop & loop, siren, kimi toiu hana, n much more but im just forgetting...hehe

also, they resemble the western band, Weezer, so much, it's not even funny! lol

btw, if you like this band, you should also check out "CUNE" or "Art School"...both pretty similar, but bring on their own flavor to the table! XD

Ha..I love this band as well! At first I just think this is a Japanese band who does punk music only. But there's a lot more about this band (yea, later I realized that this band is kind of similar with weezer and if i'm not mistaken weezer is Gotoh's favourite band)

My favourites are Rewrite, Kimi no machi made, loop n loop, n a lot more...

i started to like this band since...i listening to haruka kanata!!!
i like the vocal ..he can SCREAMMM real good..and the guitar is not bad...

I just forgot to tell you something. Before the new album in April, they will release a new single named " World Apart" in February! Something to look forward too!

I really like AKFG, and Haruka Kanata and Rewrite is my fav. songs (from this band). and there other very great songs like Jihei Tansaku, Kimi Toiu Hana, Shindoukaku and much more

i like these dudes, too - "Sol-Fa" was an excellent album. that last thing from ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION i've seen is their video for 'Blackout'. good... albeit odd.

One of my friends is crazy about this band (His band covers some of their songs), but for some reason I'm not. Their songs are pretty good (Rewrite, Haruka, etc.) but I just can't get into them like I'm into YUI :(
