Heard of her?

I just got into her "Go! Younha" album recently, and I love her voice. It's the typical female voice, but she is able to execute her songs perfectly. Quite similiar to Yui I might say. She is another one of those artist that compose, sing and even plays an instrument by herself. Piano if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT: By the way, her name might seem strange, but it's because she's Korean. Her Go! Younha is in Japanese though.

She's one of my best fav singer. No doubt! I got into her first before YUI, I knew her from Bleach too. She's a Korean that building career in Japan. She's an expert in piano and has a unique voice.

As usual, I got her from exploration. Found her album by luck in Jpopsuki. Never been bothered watching Bleach. Still I prefer Yui's works better. I like guitar based songs more.

Actually, I wouldn't say her voice is unique. Her voice is VERY normal. Or typical. It her singing style that made her songs unique.

Yea, I love both YUI and Younha equally, but YUI got more of my attention. About the PV, I guess you should download it. Its worth dying for.

Younha's voice is not only unique! but definitely awesome!!! One of the best J-pop singers ever! Have u given a try blue cat? It's really worth dying for ^^

I've only heard a few songs by her so far (including "Houki Boshi" from the "BLEACH" anime, and this one song that AditZ once sent me). To be honest, I wasn't really feeling it; didn't find myself getting into her music. I'll give her another try though. :P

I like Younha too! Actually I knew about her by the "houkiboshi" PV that I saw on an anime channel ^^. The song and pv that I like the most is Yubikiri^^. She is a great singer and pianist^^

Younha was the very first J-pop artist that I got into so she's the reason why I'm actually here listening to YUI's music. My friend showed me the Houkiboshi PV after he heard the song in a Maple Story video (don't ask me why). Younha has a strong and beautiful voice, which is accompanied by amazing piano skills. Watch her fingers fly in Houkiboshi. I even picked up Japanese just to understand her songs because I liked her songs so much. Unfortunately, she doesn't compose most of her own songs and according to the CD booklet that came with her Go! Younha CD, it said that she only recorded the vocals, not even the piano. Younha's music has the ability to make your day a lot better and she is definitely my favorite artist (although YUI comes dangerously close uh-oh).

When you say make a song, do you mean compose? I wish she composed more songs. I believe those may be the only two songs that she has composed. If she composed more songs, we could understand what she is like through her lyrics and possibly even her music. By the way, erhanz, aren't you from the Go!Younha forum also?

younha is pretty cool. i love it when she plays the piano! anyone seen her music video for my lover? it cracks me up! with that random polar bear and all... :lol: haha. but yeah, houki boshi was great! and she does have a very unique voice. i just wish she would play piano and compose stuff more...like how YUI is with her guitar. B)

I respect Younha LOTS. As a pianist myself, I really admire the way she can bang on her piano and sing at the same time.

Younha is now one of my favorite k/j pop singer. I love her piano-rock kind of music, her voice is so powerful especially when she sung Mariah Carey's Open arms and Alicia Keys If I ain't got you.
