HINOKIO is a wondrous and heart-warming fantsy movie that portrays the courage of a person who confronts reality and pure feelings of first love through the use of a robot.
Withdrawn and in a wheelchair , Satoru shuts himself from the outside world after a car accident. To reconnect Satoru with school and living , his robotics engineer father provides him with a next-generation communication tool, a remote-controlled robot that can listen, speak , see and transmit touch to the operator.
[its about a boy who witnessed his mother's death in a car accident in the hospital.
he kept himself in the room and did not come out
his father gav him a robot to replace him in sch.
a bunch of kids followed him home.
they call him hinokio is because his legs were made of compressed wood call hinoki
so one of the boy said "not pinoccio but hinokio" so everyone in the class called him hinokio. the leader of the "gang" - kudo jun
Satoru used the robot to download a program called the force feedback system/sensor.Satoru used the robot to commit suicide and in the end he got hurt himself. When Jun went to his "REAL house" to drop off a letter , she sae satoru's dad carring him out of the house and into an ambulance. Jun finally believed that game really relates to game.Jun went to the "Purgatory tower" and climbed up. but her class monitress , clicmed up too to gib her the "spirit flute". because in order to wish a wish eu must use the spirit flute. Satoru met his mother at the PURGATORY TOWER" and in a miracle he regained consiouness and because there was an earth quaked , Jun fell off the tower but she survived. After the first day at high sch , Jun came to find SAtoru.](this kinda my own summary frm wad i saw on the movie)

Finally saw this movie. Anyone knows where I can download the soundtrack (except Tomorrow's way)? This band named Dakota Star has a very nice version of To Love Somebody.
By the way, the movie is really good. I recommend it to everyone. :)

I watched this movie.. I think it was last saturday at 8 pm Wowow channel... Didn't understand though.. It was in japanese and there's no english subtitles...T_T

^_^;; took me 1/4 of the movie to decide if the main character was a girl or a boy...^_^;;
the only disappointment was that YUI sung at the very end of movie... -_- during the credits... every song during the movie was like English songs...
eheh... the movie was kinda corny tho.... after the movie this was the comment from my brother...

Hmmm just reading this myself, I think the story is pretty interesting actually....My thoughts from just reading this is that this story just might have a really good moral behind it

I watched this a little while back and thought it was pretty good. The robot looked cool, the acting was good, but the only thing that bugged me was that during the sweet Jun/robot scenes, it just seemed a bit odd...because, well, it was a robot afterall. I found it hard to believe that she could fall for a guy who she never saw and had such a dry, dry personality. Oh well, maybe I'm the only one who thinks that way XD .
