Does YUI's Diary + pick pendant only come with the first press edition? Edit: Yes, it does



If so, then how does the non-first press edition look like? Is it like only the DVD case containing the dvd's? Would love to see some photos of this so called non-first press edition. I'm startin to think this doesn't even exist (or at least I hope so :P). I want this version very badly...

im sure that u can hardly find this version of the DVD (1st press edition) anywhere now... unless u're willing to pay high price for them on auction sites... the normal edition of the dvd does not come with the diary and the pick pendant....

Try searching for Taiyou no Uta (タイヨウのうた) on Yahoo Auction.

All I see is the first press edition, and it's not that expensive at all (around 5000JPY). I still haven't seen a premium edition without the extras. That's why I think all premium editions (still) have YUI's Diary and pick pendant.

@br4d137: So you're saying the Standard Edition has the same cover as the Premium edition non-first press? If that's so, all the websites I checked (Cdjapan, Hmv, Yesasia etc.) ALL have the wrong cover? :S

The box looks kinda big for that dvd case only IMO.
If this version exists, kinda weird it's not on sale at Yahoo Auction at all.

that one is the MAKING of taiyou no uta which also comes with the Premium edition DVD

honestly i dont think theres a first press to the DVD... nothing really different if u get it now or back then

buy if off of cd japan and it still comes with the pick and dairy booklet

so thats probably y the prices are relatively the same everywhere

so lets review again

my guess is that its not a big case like the first press ones

just a regular size case with a yellow plastic flower cover.. and theres 2 disk inside the case

Check gotchi's collection in the collection topic. She seems to have the non-first press edition. In one of the photo's you can see the spine of the dvd also. Maybe gotchi can shoot some pics for us.

i have the non-1st press edition...it includes the making of DVD and the movie DVD..but does not include the diary or guitar pick...that came with the 1ST PRESS RELEASE only...i missed out on it -____-

yea i have a really bad quality rip of the making of ..i have 4 small .flv files ..it's kinda crap..if anyone has a better one please do share

I remember that I think Teo got the Premium DVD but it's not first press and she said it doens't come with the guitar pick and diary. I am not 100% sure that Teo said that or not. :sry

The description does not mention the diary and the pick'necklace.

However, one comment does says it includes it...

I actually ordered my copy from the same place in October 2007,
and suprisingly, mine was the first press edition, which came with the pick necklace and the dairy. And most importantly, it was priced $55.49 (USD)......
If you guys are really interested, you can always write them an email and ask whether they do have the first press in stock or not. They reply pretty fast...

Thanks for your advice. I've sent them an email about it. Oct 2007 is almost 1 year after the release data, might be a chance they still got it then. Would've thought the first press edition would be sold out in the first week... And it's priced US$62.99 [~€42.77] too.

Well I've received my Premium Edition
from YesAsia a while ago...

and..

Unfortunately it was not the First Press. It only includes the double DVD and that's it. No Pick Necklace and no diary. :(

And also another thing...on YesAsia it said it has Japanese AND English subs...but it turned out to be just Japanese. So NO english sub too!! :( (or maybe it's just me, but I couldn't find it....)

Luckily I got the FanSubbed version from the forum! on me pc already :D

All contents inside both DVDs are totally different, feel free to buy it if you want.
