In your opinion, what is the most underrated song by YUI? Go pick anything from singles to albums and whatever. Choose your pick.

I would have to say "Swing of Lie" because I haven't heard much discussion about the song itself and I myself didn't happen to come accross it until two days ago. It really is something.

For me, I think its I Wanna Be, Merry Go round(?) and Winding Road....Winter Hot music is good to listen in winter time ..haha XD i like that song also :)

Blue wind. Definitely, it's really shooting and beautiful, I don't understand why so many people dislike it. Swing of lie, Last Train and Am I wrong? should be more popular too.

Actually, IMO, I think that most of YUI's older songs, especially ones that are from FMTY and prior are kinda underrated. Notice how her album sales suddenly shot up when her songs turned more "rockish" during CBML era...
Perhaps Japanese people don't like slowish/acoustic songs? :X
But, FMTY is by far my most favorite of all.

Yeah considering what everyone has posted, Blue Wind is really something also. It always had this vibe to it that I couldn't explain. A good song tells a story and Blue Wind not only tells a story. It paints the pictures as well. Other than that Blue Wind use to be kind of like a lullaby for me to go to sleep.

I don't know the meaning but Yui voice and melodies really is something.

i have heard many say that her worst song made is Spiral Escape! it's actually one of my favourite songs by Yui (i luv all her songs by the way, no bad ones)

so yeah, the song really has a mystical unique tune to it and its just great! dunno why ppl don like it...

@milkyway: I don't think anyone can answer that question. No offense. I'm not trying to shatter your hopes. It's just that we all feel music in different ways. No same piece of music can affect two persons in the same way. We're human. We can get the same hint of feeling that can be classified by plain words like: inspirational, joyful, sad, and etc. but that's about it. The actual feelings that are deeper require no words but just an open mind and whatnot. The "mystical unqiue tune" you speak of is something that cannot be communicated in words. That's why I am just assuming what you mean by that. Just think: a person could be listening to one song and be picturing a euphoric scene developing and taking form in his or her life whereas another person could be listening to the same song and be picturing the death of a most loved one. That's why music is such a strong form of art. It is the universal language of the whole world for generations to come. We had no former training that we had to undergo to be able to understand this language. We only needed open ears. And that my friend, we have. Man's greatest achievement was the day they opened their ears and heard the melody from the heavens.

wow....this is actually a reply i was not expecting, its very interesting the way u put it and its actually very true, i never thought of it that way. the part that everyone feels differently from the same tune as with the different picture from same tune....i knew things like this, but i mean i would never think of it in a forum and in a debate such as this. its just goin a step deeper and i just realized today how shallow i look at topics in a forum!

As I suspected, most of the songs are from FMTY or are B-sides. Mostly slower typed songs also, except for a few expections. I guess those songs just don't stand out much for some people, huh?

Ready to Love, Skyline, Swing of Lie are great songs which are underrated for me.
