Description

It is in the 58th year of Showa. The summer starts earlier than usual. In June, they’re enjoying the sound of cicada at noon and buzz of higurashi(*) in the evening.

Here, Hanamizawa Village, which locates on the rim of XX prefecture, is a small village whose population is less than 2,000. However, "it" repeats every year. Hinamizawa Village Consecutive Unnatural Murders (1979 ~ 1983). Every year, on the fixed day of June, one person dies and one person disappears. It is a death chain from the fight related to a big dam construction plan. The incident that was hidden in the middle of Showa revives. It is whether a plot or an accident...or a curse?

The person who’s supposed to be there doesn’t exist.
The person who must not be there does exist.
The person whom you met last night doesn’t exist.
The person who is there doesn’t live.

The tragedy is inevitable? You can do nothing but succumb to it? However, do not submit yourself to the tragedy. It is only you that can face it.

I watched this awhile ago when I was at my old house, my brother was probably wondering what the crap I was watching since there was always screaming.

Pretty messed up series haha, a couple things that stuck out for me:
- when the girl is bashing her temple against the knife propped up against the wall
- when that one girl is nailed to the board and her friend is listening to her scream in the basement
- the weird machine that pulls your nails!
- all the crazy person laughing and messed up faces when they do laugh haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeeJxefijoY

Overall, it was a decent series. I found that I was asking myself why I kept on watching this haha.

I think the plot is kinda intriguing, in the sense that it got me to camp in front of my comp and finish the series.. I just found the ending of Higurashi no naku koro ni kai.. abit.. weird. &i am still waiting for the third season to be out (this year,i think) ^^

hahaha thats exactly right... the plots was the best but it was scenes like that which made you remember the series. I kinda got confused when watching the first couple of episodes. How could he die but live in the next episode. i understand it all now
i didnt know there was a third series out but i cant wait!
