um the postings part got that alternating colour of dark and light blue... rather distracting... light blue all the way would be better =)

for long post or ppl with sigs... it looks a bit weird... and also the black font gets hard to read sometimes

The gradient colour only works well for members without a signature (and have a short post). It should stretch accordingly, else it's better to have a uniform colour. I think white colour could be replaced by a better colour for quote boxes. Everything else is great, especially the new guitar icon ^_^

I wonder what's the surprise :lol:

Ah one more thing. The guitar pick icons now don't look as good as before because of the surrounding white box.

Long posts are a challenge to read due to multiple abrupt changes in the colour contrast in the background.

Nice for one-liner replies, not if it gets too long, especially when people starts quoting or have signature.

I don't really like this, especially the gradating color content. Here's the snapshot.



If we still want to use the gradient, better add this on the css for post body,

{background:#244862 url(thegradientimage.jpg) repeat-x;}

But this color just not working with black font, especially RED. So yeah, single light color is much better.

The gradient color actually looks good at the front page [home], but when used as post and member title background.. it looks terrible to me..

And i prefer more lighter blue as forum background color..

And one more thing. It's about forum marker color..
I think the forum marker color is too close to no new post forum marker..
Can you make it more contrast than no new post forum marker ?

Ah.. 1 more thing.. about this forum shoutbox problem when watched with Firefox 3.
Already posted about this at help forum, but uh well..
Maybe YL should upgrade it's shoutbox into a higher invisionfree shoubox version cause the higher version (ex: IPB Shoutbox 2.5) don't have that 'bug' anymore when watched with Firefox 3.

Ah.. and the signature font color.. why blue ?
I prefer black.. the same color as post color.. or maybe a darker blue..

overall its a nice layout.
yeah, like most of the forumers, i have problems with gradienting color in posts.. especially in long posts O_O

But unlike others, I like the color of the background. XD

nice job people! i guess the hardest part is in the posts area the gradient from dark to light blue kinda just cuts and sometimes its hard to read ...

so either drop the gradient bg and use a solid light blue or darkblue ..and perhaps change the text font to white so we can read everyone's posts? =D

Maybe they just didn't foresee the cuts of the gradient in the post area... well it's not too late to edit it... i guess under the website layout properties you can change it to stretch or either just drop the gradient just as other ppl suggested..
