Yeah, its really similar to how she started out, just that she went to a competition, and wrote lots more songs. YUI also did a lot of things at night in real life! She sleeps about 2 hours a day or none at all most of the time.

That role was perfect for YUI because YUI says she comes up with songs during the night time and Kaoru is sort of nocturnal. I really want to see YUI in another movie but not as the main character because she might have to kiss some guy again. :cry

This movie and YUI really surprised me! That's probably because normally I find Japanese movies kinda weird ^^ But I really liked this one, and Yui really acts well :P

I watched it recently, nearly made me want to cry at the end, but didn't quite.

YUI definitely works well in that role but it was practically tailored towards her anyway :P

I think YUI can really act! The role was meant for her. She did a very great job. I saw the TV version of the movie and I thought ERIKA was good but the role didn't fit her as well as it fit YUI.
