Wakeshima Kanon (分島花音) is a Japanese cellist/singer who debuted in 2008 with the single still doll (anime Vampire Knight ending theme song). She is produced by Malice Mizer/Moi dix Mois guitarist Mana.

Wakeshima started cello when she was three. In junior high school she was part of musical ensemble groups/a cello duo group. In her first year of senior high school, first time going on stage as a vocalist (at school cultural festival). Later on, to discover what her music potential was, she entered in a Sony audition, and managed to become one of the finalists. She was signed to DefSTAR Records, and debuted in 2008 with the Mana-produced single still doll.

if you guys dunno her you should check her out if you like Mana's good old gothic-ness

I love her :suki ..the single is fantastic..she's the best!! (after YUI off course haha XD)..she reminds me a little bit to Ali Project..

Still Doll was a good song (nice PV btw) and suitable as the ending theme for that anime (forgot the name haha :P)

Kuroi Tokikago, on the other hand displayed her variation in playing the cello and her voice in this single, is really fantastic. All friends that I had referred to this song loved it, so it's something really worth listening.

Well too bad, there were only few pics of her in the net. I suggest could we make a Kanon Wakeshima forum instead? :P

when i first saw her, i was amazed because she looked like a doll. and what really surprises me, she is a cellist.. i really cant believe it.. plus she is a singer.. so it kinda amazes me..

when, i saw her PV, i was stunned.. she is really gud in playing the cello.. although the cello part is kinda short..
