i come from england
I would bet my life that you will learn these:
english literature or language ( one or both like me)
Maths
Bio-chem-phy or science
now ones that you might learn:
an european language- latin, spanish, french(probably most common), italian, german etc. Im lucky in my school i take japanese and spanish
a visual art- drama, art, music (not certain about these)
Almost definately ICY/IT same thing- computers (it depends on the facilities of the school but i cant think of a school that doesnt teach it)
History/Religous (Studies/Education)/ Geography- probably no more than 2 of these.
I think this is it.
I go to Dartford Grammar- in Kent.
I take- maths, eng lit, eng, japanese, spanish, ict, history, sciences and ART (worst choice of my life)
hope that helps

umm ok in GCSE you can choose to do higher or core maths however usually schools choose wots best im sure you can influence them
in a levels/ IB you can choose standard or further maths i think. w/e You can choose here freely. so it wont be too hard if you choose the easier option.
in GCSE however i think you can only get a C if you choose standard. in A level or IB i think it is the same marks.
