Title: Callouses~ xD Enter at your own risk..
Description: Show us those hands!!
cherii - April 29, 2008 02:01 PM (GMT)
Hrmm...not showing mine just yet. I'm really bored, and just waiting to be tired enough to go to sleep...so of course I'd get another weird topic idea.
Not showing mine right now...because I need to develop them more. They're actually starting to disappear because I haven't been playing as often. :what
I'm wondering if we're going to be seeing any green fingers...haha. Mine went a LITTLE bit grey one time, but that was with my old guitar, and it washed out easily. :cool The place where I barre my chords has gotten hard, its so good to be able to play them without dying of pain! ^_^
Alright. Less of cherii talking. More of you posting your icky fingers.

mine's starting to disappear too
i want them to go green! itd so interesting to see that lol

Actually you don't want them to go green because that's when the string(s) starts to rust. If you see green, clean the strings immediately.
ren - April 29, 2008 02:48 PM (GMT)
i always clean my strings after i play, maybe thats why my fingers never goes green
xela - April 30, 2008 05:34 AM (GMT)

When I was just starting out I used to get really noticable calluses with white peely skin but not anymore.

Nothing there at all as you can see. I have normal fingers, its just super thick skin and all of the grooves have worn XD.
The skin is kinda de-sensitised now. I'll just wait till I get my acoustic guitar and watch my fingers get shredded away haha XD.

^ Can't wait to see and hear that acoustics of yours.
speedphantom - May 1, 2008 07:56 AM (GMT)
Ah yes haha. There's never any definite time on this. I always think I'll get it in a month and another month and stuff. But surely this is the last time I can say in a month haha.
I can't wait either. I've been photoshopping pics of it just to see what it'll look like!
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/6262/fl...tomsmallok7.jpgMy one will have a cutaway but everything else is the same. I photoshopped the headstock on to the normal FL2AC. Note the bunya top, it's a native Australian wood! ^_^
http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/3295/fl...omshadowrt8.jpgThis next shot gives you a nice front view of what the guitar will look like with the headstock wood colour actually matching the body haha XD. This one doesn't have the bunya top but everything else is the same though ^_^
Be warned the pictures are BIIIIIIIIIIIG!

Yummy yes! ^_^

If I go on a guitar craze(which I experience now and then) I will get really thick callouses.
But now they are soft.........
nataliejwong - May 8, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
I post a pic of my fingers before. My fourth finger had an dent in it before.. haha. Here's an updated pic. It's not as bad now, because I haven't played my guitar for two weeks.

If you don't play the acoustic guitar very often, you won't really have callouses. The string tension isn't as tight on an electric compared to an acoustic.
hungrydragon - May 9, 2008 12:47 AM (GMT)
lol so gross...so, is it okay to clip them off...they're peeling
speedphantom - May 9, 2008 02:28 AM (GMT)
I usually think its best to leave the calluses but if they're seriously falling off you might as well get rid of them in that case XD.
I haven't had my calluses peeling since I can't remember when. They've just reached this invincible stage. They're not super hard or anything, just durable and flexible haha.
s0l1dsn8k3 - May 9, 2008 03:41 AM (GMT)
^ Just wait till you get your acoustic. You fingers will probably redevelop the calluses.
pinkylily123 - May 9, 2008 05:29 AM (GMT)
LOL i took a pic of mine but it was so blurry u couldnt even see them
they go away when i wash my hands but i dun rly like to wash my hands after playing gitaa(cuz it hurts)
i can rarely feel anything in my fingertips anymore
my steel acoustic strings are hard and it made my fingertips all hard and... shiny XDDDDDDDDDDDD
AND ITS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gitaa is so much fun...
