for me, ( I dont play everday thou) i practice usually around 20-30min. So how long do u all practice once you start playing?

depending on what song or a set of songs I'm learning. it can be as little as 30min. many times it's more than that. I just watch TV and practice at the same time. The longest I've practiced for was like 6 hrs ... though I probably practiced even longer when I was playing the viola in school.

an hour or less...untill i learn the song..then i move on to another song wEEee

depends on how busy i am that day but normally everyday 1-2 hours, i feel something is missing if i dont play my guitar everyday

I always pick up the guitar when I'm bored, sometimes I watch tv as well. I stop playing when my fingers are about to die. XD Probably about 2 or so times a day I pick it up. I lose track of time when I play, so I don't know. Probably 30 mins to around a few hours. I don't think I can play as long as 6 hours though!

well me too.if i'm not busy i will practice one song while listening....about half an hour....or less...

I've been playing a lot more lately though getting ready for a show, and getting two new guitars helps with that haha.

Also depends how busy I am (or how much I decide to procrastinate with all the homework and stuff. lol) But I usually try to aim to at least pick up the guitar everyday, even if it's only for 20-30mins.

Though, admittedly, I haven't been playing for the past week, and possibly more -- been trying hard to concentrate on exams. :(

if i'm just playing to relax or to kill time, probably 15-20mins on my accoustic, just go thru a few songs that i know

if i'm learning a new song (like YUI's for eg.) probably 30-45mins

if there's a performance coming up, or i'm going jamming with my bandmates then i can practice for up to an hour or two

Usually, I gotta restrain myself from being near a guitar since I have so much homework to do. But when I do pick up my guitar, I would jam on it for at least 30min or so and ended up wasting sometime... It's totally worth it though. Don't force yourself to practice. I play because there's music in my head that really needs to be let out.

You know though, during my exam week...I didn't pick up my guitar once. >_< It was the first I'd ever done that, because I wanted to do well. Maybe I would've done better if I did play my guitar. Haha.

it really depends. 90% of the time i play guitar everyday. i can never keep count cause i play guitar for 30mins and i stop and do some stuff on the computer and then i pick it up again and play for a certain of time. idk, changes!

my guitars are juz beside my table, n i sit in front of my table most of time, juz pick them up whenever i feel like playing... erm... maybe at least 1hr/day...

I'm the same with everyone. About 30mins to an hour per day.

Whouaw... Most of you are practicing every day. It is said that even 15 minutes, it's better to do so than practicing 4 hours or more, but once a week. I'm not at home during 2 days a week because of work. I should buy another guitar...

My friend got his Yamaha acoustic guitar for $10 Canadian. LOL. But it was a second-hand guitar... haha.

I dig the original dreadnought shape more than ones with cutaways, and I normally don't need to reach such high frets for just acoustic songs.

What?!!?!?! $10 Canadian? My Yamaha was $200 Australian, and it was $100 off because it was on special. =P I bought it at a good time.

Mine doesn't have any cutaways either, but it doesn't matter too much since I don't usually need to go that high anyway.

Very similar to everyone. I practice about 30 min to an hour everyday, but sometimes i play 3 or 4 hours. I used to practice several hours, but now i can't... anymore.

I just jam and play random pentatonic scale junk usually haha XD don't really play anything in particular.

I sometimes work on guitar parts for the songs I'm writing.

depends in my mood and the song..but usually...30 mins every song then another song...

me...less than an hour...
i'll play the songs that i need to show my guitar teacher first..
then play around with the songs i'm familiar with...

usually about 1 hour.. if i got nothing to do i can play for couple of hours until my fingers hurt and tell me to stop..
but i still can't play very well and need to practice more... XD
