Title: Japanese movie or drama rip offs!!!
Description: are there any in your country?

This to me a serious issue. i've been wanting to post this a long time ago but i kept forgetting.
i like Japanese movies and drama, nut in my country there are series that somewhat copy from Jap/korean drama and movies. one the rip offs that made me angry was when they turn/copy 1 litre of tears into a drama series in my country called "buku harian Nayla"/Nayla's diary. when i watched it, it felt disgustingly lame. it was almost an exact copy!:angry :angry it's not even a good copy!:angry :angry that was an embarrassment to my country's film industry. that was not the only one.

do you guys ever see the same thing happen in your country?

Since we live on the same country, i think i know what you felt you_and_i.. If i'm not wrong.. there are more than 50 Japanese, Korean, Chinese movie and drama series that copied by our film industry.. so sad...
BTW.. That "Buku Harian Nayla".. is a 99 exact copy from '1 litre of tears'.. Since the dorama is very short compared to ours, they added more detail to it and change the ED.. but basically all the content from 1 Litre of Tears except the ED are ALL there.. :angry

USA kinda remade battle royal lol

but they toned it down..

instead of school kids trying to kill each other

they made hardcore prisoners sentenced to death row to kill themselves..

same concept... sent to an island given weapons and time limit...

EDIT: we also remade shall we dance which was a k-movie... and infernal affairs which is a chinese movie..

they jacked up Infernal affairs... brute american bastards...

you're right town_el.. our national newspaper (Kompas) even listed down lots of the drama series (we call it 'sinetron') in our country which are pure rip-off from Japanese, Taiwan or Korean dramas/movies..
and some of them are kinda ridiculous or stupid cause they just copied everything from the movie..
just like in a scene of one drama which is a rip-off from Korean drama (i don't remember the title) where the main characters wore thick sweater and scarf on a hot sunny day in our capital city, Jakarta, which has tropical season.. maybe they forgot that our country has no winter.. LOL..

:la@ I... I remember that scene !! :la@
It's from "Benci Jadi Cinta" !!
Another pure rip-off from Korean drama, "My Girl"..
I've noticed about the outfit too.. um.. to stylish ? well.. it looks good on her (the main character).. but.. :rolleye
scarf + sweater + hot season = :sohot :sohot :sohot :sohot :sohot
Hmm.. Maybe they've put some fan below the sweater so that the main character didn't got a heat-stroke while shooting the drama..

You know "The Lakehouse"? I didn't watch it because it was such a rip-off from the Korean movie, "Il Mare". I don't watch Asian movies anymore though, so I don't know many rip offs.
