Yes yes, I am a huge Avril fan. I was from the beginning! lol. I love how much she has changed since her debut in 2001! She's grown up alot.

Oh, I love "Tomorrow"! It's one of my favorite songs to play on guitar. Hmm.. I've never compared "Tomorrow" and "swing of lie" before, maybe I will now! LOL.

Other songs I love by her are "Slipped Away", "Too Much To Ask", "Unwanted", "Fall to Pieces", and "How Does It Feel?".

lol, yea, Im a biiig fan of Avril! XD~ n I'm glad to see that sumone actually agrees with me that you can see a resemblence of Avril [even the slightest] in YUI!! not in terms of personality (since YUI is more conservative and calm and Avril is more...hmm, whats the word...wild/unpredictable LOL)...but in terms of their voices, hair style (YUI's is kinda like Avril's original hair style), & perhaps their facial expressions when they sing...also, certain song similarities...

let's see...

witnessing YUI's "Feel My Soul" performed live, is when i first saw the resemblance...it kinda gave me a nostalgic feel to Avrils Debut...it kinda had a touch of Avril's "Complicated" blended with "Anything But Ordinary"...but with a more bouncy acoustic rhythm to it...

more songs by YUI, "Free Bird" and "Life", kind of feels like it has a small influence of Avril's "Mobile"...

DON'T FEEL MAD Y'ALL and i am NOT saying that YUI copied Avril's music...NOT at all!

this is really just my OWN opinion & how i feel about both of their music...I am both a fan of Avril & YUI!!! XD~ and for me, i could just sense a few similarities between the two :swt

I was kinda suprised to read that actually, but then again, I felt closer with YUI. because I also knew about Avril's music. Although I'm not really a fan or anything.

Avril Lavigne. When her first song came out, I thought Michelle Branch sung it. Haha, then I realize it was her song. Interesting talent. It's kind of sucks that many people say she can't sing live, but that's not true. I been to one of her live shows, it was pretty good. Sometimes, she does sing a bit off key at her live shows, but it's never easy singing live, especially if you have to play the guitar too. Your fingers tend to sweat a lot after a few minutes of play. That's not easy. It takes a lot of energy and it's real exhausting with all the lights shining on you.

The only thing I don't like about Avril was when she mashed that nice PRS guitar in her S8kerboi video. So sad... poor guitar. Guitars are not for smashing... :scare I guess her personality is not really likable, well, at least I don't like it. I think she's less 'punk rock' now, which I have to admit, I do like more. I'm not sure about the blonde hair though.

Lots of respect to her, she's Canadian too.


Also, when I first saw YUI in her LIFE video, the first thing that popped up in my head was, "wow, an asian version of Avril." Personally, I find the only differences between YUI and Avril would be character / personality and age besides that, they almost identical.

Avril is super COOL. YUI too!
