Title: Open them or not?
Description: ..your newly bought YUI cds?
*simply_kawaii* - April 4, 2008 03:08 PM (GMT)
When my YUI cds arrived, i cannot decide whether i'll open them or not..coz at the first place, i want to preserve the freshness~i should leave them unopen..but i opened them eventually coz i can't help myself..lol..due to excitement..
but now, i think i'm not gonna open the cds the next time i'll buy..or will i end up opening them(again)? :sry
What do u guys think?..
br4d137 - April 4, 2008 03:42 PM (GMT)
dont de-viginize them!!!
hehe
the_chap - April 4, 2008 04:35 PM (GMT)
YEAH... Don't de-virginize them...
the_alchemist - April 4, 2008 05:14 PM (GMT)
ahah.. it's such a dilemma.. i think i won't be able to resist the temptation to 'de-virginize' them.. (btw 'de-virginize' is a cool term..lol..)
Jill-Jênn - April 4, 2008 07:03 PM (GMT)
Open them ^^ At least to see the CD :P
And it's rather expensive, you bought them because you wanted to listen to them, didn't you? ^^
macska - April 4, 2008 07:25 PM (GMT)
imo, it's pretty stupid to keep them sealed... ok, I understand that it looks cool and "fresh" unopened, but don't you want to listen to the CD and watch the DVD (it it comes with DVD)? Sure, you can download it too, but why the hell would you download a xx Gb DVD if you had bought it before...? It also can be better to listen to the CD itself than the MP3s, since the quality is better. And I love reading the booklet and looking at the pictures inside. So yeah, that's why I always open my CDs. :P
br4d137 - April 4, 2008 08:01 PM (GMT)
well being on this forum... we have ppl scanning the booklets... so i get to enjoy the pictures on a computer...
i dont even own a cd player... only mp3 players...
even my car stereo plays mp3...
i dont wanna take the chance of scratching the dvd or cds...
so i dont play original cds and stuff anyways
so for my scenario is best if i just not open it...
eyemeroll - April 5, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
lol..u guys kinda funny..hurm...maybe when my cd arrive..i will not open it yet...i might take picta first..hehe...n then...i open it..(carefully) and copy all the songs to my computer..n then i will put it back in it's case just like when it's arrive.. :hee
takiko - April 5, 2008 01:32 AM (GMT)
lol i know what you mean i do the same time XD
when i get them i really dont want to open it but because of all the excitement it somehow get open :suki
i just can help myself
town_el - April 5, 2008 02:00 AM (GMT)
I don't want to open them.. but.. sometimes.. there's some special content that not available anywhere in internet like YUI comment in TYMT and the making of Taiyou no Uta from Premium edition DVD..
So.. if i can't get the special content on internet.. i have to open my DVD.. which is kinda sad.. but.. that's the only way to see it..
I'm gonna open my ILY Limited Edition album IF I can't find the special content anywhere..
*simply_kawaii* - August 11, 2008 06:30 AM (GMT)
thanks for ur opinion guys, @eyemeroll, actually I took a pic of the cds in their 'unopened state'..and then open them, but I wasn't able to put back the case.. @@
good thing, the Summer song limited edition has a 'different' plastic cover..u can seal it back again after opening it.. :good
gotchi - August 11, 2008 07:47 AM (GMT)
omg..yea i've been debating this for the longest time...and still am? LOL it is a dilemma, you buy it to listen to it right?
my first online purchase i think was YUI's CBML Limited edition ..i had picked up YUI's FMTY from a friend but didnt open it...CBML came and the case was cracked -___- i didnt really wanna go thru the whole refunding process online so i just opened it since it got cracked anyway...i kept the LISMO/BLEACH sticker it had on the 1st press editions...and stuck it inside the album..
but ever since then...i've kept every single intact....i dont think i'll be selling them in the future...maybe i will open them one day?
but yes every time i purchase her singles...and they arrive..my brain agonizes over this lol...cuz i'm such an indecisive person too >__<
milkyway - August 11, 2008 08:11 AM (GMT)
dammit and i thought was another game....
neeways, don open them if u gnna have a big collection if u jus buy them then open it
OR

beje11 - August 11, 2008 08:23 AM (GMT)
I cant hold the temptation to open it,,
Of course I will open it and take a look for twice or three times, but then I will keep them in their plastic , so, it will be like a new one^^
akuma_tsubasa - August 11, 2008 08:40 AM (GMT)
waah haha i dun open minez i cherish them haha i did to the SS lmted one to see the postcard XDDD :clap
yupeh - August 11, 2008 08:49 AM (GMT)
When my CDs arrived, I open them immediately but very cautiously. I also play them once in a while. Because I believe, in the end, the purpose of me buying the CD is to enjoy it and I can only enjoy it if I open it.
That's why my CDs are kinda scratched already. >,<
But I care less because its only the case, and the case is there to protect my CD and booklet. That are the things I protect with my purchases- the CDs and the booklets.

Right on! :good
Hmm, don't you think YUI would want us to open and listen to her CDs also? I mean, what are cds for if they aren't for listening?
But yeahh, I always have this dilemma also... so I ended up with some of my cds open and some sealed, LOL!
Ehh, the really interesting thing is that the cds I get from Kinokuniya are sealed in a different plastic and are resealable. Kinda weird, but good in a way cause you can just open them and seal them back up again! @@
Well, just open them, look at it, and then put them back in the plastic~ That's what I do because opening them gives you a certain "thrill" haha.
Or just buy another copy...

Agreed!!!! hehehe =P
Is like buying a new guitar and never play it ... it got no sense for me!!!
things were made to use them!!! of course you got to use them carefully!
@@
What will you do with your "virgin CD & DVD" in 10 or 20 years?? hehehe don't forget technology will go on!!! ...
What did your dad with his vinyl' discs?? I'm gonna tell you what my dad did ... he bought them again, but re-mastered into CDs!!! and he said good bye to vinyl...
The moral of the story is ... use your CD & DVD until you can

elhoro - August 18, 2008 10:19 AM (GMT)
Well, if it's me, i'll open them.
De-virginize them, but still, keep them well. :D
with the plastic cover too.
don't want them to collect dust on the shelf. XD
KaiserKawaii - August 18, 2008 10:22 AM (GMT)
aren't they supposed yo be opened?...
honestly, i think people who don't open their cds are weird... i mean, what's the point of buying it if you don't open it... play it at least once if you don't want to make use of it...
br4d137 - August 18, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)

Hmm, the point is, could you ever bring yourself to selling them!?!?! They may be worth that much, but they aren't worth anything if you aren't willing to sell them, right? :sry
Haha, I've thought about how much they could be worth, but I myself could never sell them, so I just open them in the end.

for me...
not open it for 3-4 days..
after that i open..
i can't settle that..
Ids - August 19, 2008 02:54 PM (GMT)
I would just enjoy the CD un-opened for an hour or something and then i'll just open it. I mean having them makes it just perfect ^^ they don't have to be sealed right?
Well anyway that's what i would do if I ever got a YUI cd :cry
Yui-Lover - August 19, 2008 10:01 PM (GMT)
That's my question too when I got my cds. And I think that I should just leave it un open so it wont get dirty or yeah. I'll just download it and listen in my MP3. :good
