coz i find myself pretty weird... i use my left hand for basicly, everything, including writing. but i play guitar righthanded :rolleye

but yea i dont have a guitar..i' always wondered which way would be better for me...but i guess it doesnt matter..i'd probably learn the right-handed way because almost everything i do now is made for right-handers=P LOL j/k

yea i dunno guitars i'd have to restring or buy a left-handed one and there's not as many selections...so i'd probably force myself to learn right-handed anyway!


i noticed that i bowl with my right hand..but i play badminton with my left hand and i shoot with my left hand in basketball

but when i play the piano..i feel like i have more control of my individual fingers with my right hand. and my left hand kinda becomes the power arm *shrugs*

Not sure if Cross still visits the forum often, but he is also left-handed for everything but plays guitar right-handed. He said when he started to learn guitar, the sales person sold him a right handed guitar so he was kinda forced to learn to play that way.

except i'm pretty sure you'll have to stick to your first decision since i started off right handed and tried to learn left and it was impossible!

yeah... i think you can play either hand... since you need to use them both equally as much...

its just how u adapt to the instrument... just like writing..

left or right handed... you can always train urself to write the other way..

its just what ever is more convenient for you..

My hs friend is left-handed but I told him to learn the guitar right-handed, so he'll be able to choose a better variety/type/models of guitars. There just not as many left-handed guitars as right-handed.

I was sold a right-handed guitar because I was mislead into believing that tabs were primarily based on right-hand guitar setups - what a load of BS that turned out to be: I didn't even know what tabs were when I started.

I suppose I'm glad that I'm playing right-handed, since there is a much greater selection of guitars to choose from - and most especially since PRS only makes right-handed guitars. That's all that matters to me. = P

well, i CHOSE to play right-handed. took me quite some time picking bcoz my fren keeps saying i shud play left-handed coz it looks cool and it's my dominant, but in the end, i still chose to play right-handed. For some of the best reason is, u can play every guitar in the shop, play your frens guitar, and jam together. bcoz there arent any left-handed guitars in the jamming place >.<

well i guess in terms of "guitar using" it's better if you can play right handed hahaha

I am left-handed, and but I play with my right. I find it naturally easier, though. I was trying out this left-handed guitar and it was totally bad.. I don't understand why we should strum with our dominant hand.. ^^;

i'm left handed. I THINK. basically, i'm all over the place. I eat and write with left. But when i play sports like badminton, i hold the racket with my right. When i kick a soccer ball, i use my right. All other things like even holding a pair of scissors, is right as well. so definitely, i play guitar with the right as well. haha.
besides, i heard left handed guitars are a lot more expensive and hard to find a good teacher that plays the guitar with their left hand.

Guitaring.= right handed..nvr tried left except for Guitar Hero..and did pretty good..just that i dont have a left handed guitar..but i practice on my guitar sometimes..just by turning it upside down.haha
