I just started watching Ikebukuro West Gate Park and I've seen other J-dramas where punks seem to run around doing whatever they want. I've been to Japan a few times and haven't really seen anything like it in real life, but maybe it's because I'm not hanging out late at night. I know most of you aren't from Japan, but I'm curious if you know or think there are these sort of people and do they really do crazy stuff like you see in some J-dramas, or if it's all made up.

It doesn't matter where you are. We always get a mix of everything. Nut cases aren't an exception. That's how society runs.

I don't know, I think Japan is a little different place where that sort of thing wouldn't be tolerated.

I can look somewhat seedy and dangerous when I want to, like when I was in Japan one time and I wore this black leather looking jacket. I guess I looked dangerous enough that a Tokyo Inspector harassed me for my ID and documents. Then another time this bicycle patrol cop harassed me for my travel documents too. So I imagine they're vigilant, so street punks wouldn't be too common. Or maybe I just didn't go to the right places to see them.

They're probably are some street gangs, but maybe just not as flamboyant as the G-boys from IWGP.

i saw biker gangs in hiroshima they did nothing but be nosy with bikes.

I think i could take some but it was like 20 vs1 and they were all in leather. One girl had a hello kitty bike which so funny.

I dont think they do much just try and look hard
