Btw, i just hear Stand By Me songs.
WTF, i play this songs when my friend comes to me and ask me :
my friend : "hey, this song is YUI's song, right?"
Me: " lol, this was buriguri song, you know"
my friend : "lol, the verse 1 is like YUI's voice you know..."

tommy is seriously one of my role models... i luv her! i absolutely adore her!

stand by me does some yui-ish but nevretheless buri guri has been doing those type of songs for years so we can also say its buriguri-ish<3 am i making sense XD

the first song ive heard by them is rainy days never stays and i luved it
i dled their debut album and it was freakin awesome... acoustic rock is awesome

Tommy Heavenly6 should come back~!!! It's been a while since she released her Heavy Starry Chain single and Heavy Starry Heavenly album...

Her dark melanchonic melodic love song like her song ''fell in love with you'' and ''I'm Gonna SCREAM+'' (and some of her punk-rock songs like ''Going to My Way'') really touches me :suki .

So far ''Danzai No Hana ~Guilty Skys~'' is i think the only dark song i know from Riyu. But hey! She's also awsome like TH6 :good .

Yeah... maybe she was really busy with her bands now.
after many years vanished hehe

but, i wanna hear more songs from Tommy heavenly6 again..

my favourite is rainy days never stays, tbg is good cuz they have so many styles. can't wait till they release an album with their current work on it.

I really think Tommy Heavenly6 will come back! I saw TH6 was featured and pose for a certain Japanese magazine in the TH6/TF6 community in LJ. So i know she will come back!

i think shes worked as heavenly6 enough and she should put it on hold for awhile

If you ask me, I think she should do both. She can be with BuriGuri and at the same time She can be Tommy Heavenly6 :clap (Im sorry if i don't refer TF6. It's just...i don't know much about her and I just reach Tommy as TH6.) you know like Riyu Kosaka :clap Being w/ BeForU and at the same time being solo.

I love TH6 dark punk songs :clap Especially her love songs like ''Heavy Starry Chain'' ^^. Also i love her lovely PVs! She really looks cute in her PVs and i also love how she put two characters of herself in her PV's. Like her ''I'm Gonna SCREAM+'' PV, i love her role as a fairy princess and as a dark angel <3 you can watch the PV @ my LJ profile.

I got the SINGLES COLLECTION last week and really got into the songs on there. :D I've been following buri guri since their return with Stand By Me (still a fav) and have really enjoyed Enemy and Ash Like Snow.

As for older favs, I'd go with (just off the top of my head): Angel Song, Rainy Days Never Stays, Forever To Me, Sono Speed de, There Will Be Love There, and Hello Another Way. ^_^

I have to agree with your friend, the first time i heard it/watched it I thought it sounded pretty YUI acoustic like. Awesome song though and Ash Like Snow, started listening to them recently.

Angel Song is a really nice Xmas ballad <3.

And speaking of the best singles album, Last May 13, 2008 was the 10th anniversary of the 1st #1 single of BuriGuri ''There will be love there -Ai no Aru no Basho-'' :clap .

I am glad I stumbled upon this this thread while searching 'Danzai No Hana'.

I agree that the start of Stand By Me track is very reminiscent of YUI songs.

It's a great track, and having gone through a couple other tracks on YouTube, I am now a new (and very late) Buriguri fan. I liked both the song and PV for Ash and Snow. Yea, it is simple, but they get marks for:

1. Having panda sniper assassins (seriously, how did they come up with that?).
2. Having one bite the dust just by looking at her red eyes. Simple, yet so effective.

[Note: I like pandas, it's not the panda turning to dust that I like, but the fact that she can take out an assassin at a glance - it looks empowering, sexy despite being so simple]

To be honest, the Tomoko Kawase didn't ring any bell to me. I've listened to one of Tommy february6's album before (Tommy airline) and it didn't do that much for me. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't like it either (or at least not enough to Google up the name and learn about the artist). After that, I didn't pay much attention to Tommy including the Heavenly persona.

That leads to my question: are most of Tommy Heavenly songs darker with more rock and less synth (that's probably what did not appeal me about Tommy Feb)?

Actually, Tommy heavenly6 is Tomoko Kawase's dark alter ego and rocker side.
heavenly6's are more pop-rock and modern rock and features heavenly6 to be more classy and sophisticated.

As for questipn, yes! heavenly6 a rocker and is totally opposite in february6's music genre. she can go to upbeat rock to dark/melancholic rock. You should totally try her out ^^ Try listening to ''Heavy Starry Chain'' or one of her 2 albums.
