CALLING ALL SINGAPOREANS!

HI, amid all the hype and excitement of giving YUI her 21st birthday present as YUI-LOVERS, I think we should do our part too! (Esp for those who were too late to join the collaboration, LIKE ME)

Well, I've discussed with moonchild, and we've decided to keep it simple. First, we'll buy a welch (not too big, if not it's going to cost a bomb) for her! And secondly, we'll write our messages for YUI down and send to her. For the messages, we could either all write on a large piece of board/paper (which is not very feasible, as it's difficult to send), OR, we can write for ourselves on small pieces of paper, then collate and send them together.

WELL, it's really up to our own creativity. The only problem now is TIME CONSTRAINT. I know everyone's busy with their own commitments. And especially for me, I'll be flying off in 10 days time.

If you all are UP FOR THIS, please reply and give constructive comments. And WE REALLY NEED TO GET THIS KICK-STARTED. We'll call for as many Singaporean fans as possible, and discuss about this. If there's no objection to our simple plan as stated above, we can just start writing our messages to her by ourselves, and one fine day, we'll meet up to pass to each other. As for the welch, it's easily attainable from any carrefour or whatnot.

hmm some details need to be settled... how long does it take for the stuff to reach Japan? and for that matter how is YUI gonna receive it? we gotta set a deadline too otherwise it'll probably drag until her 22nd birthday XD

Hmm I think it takes less than a week to reach, so it should be all right if we send about one week before.

As for whether should we write it ourselves or not, we need to gather opinions from the rest. But personally, i think it's better to write them ourselves, but of course, that will take more time and effort.

well it is an issue. in the US when my father brought some goods from here to bring over to my uncle, he brought the items in can (we had them canned). but still they were held off. the customs questioned my father what was inside the cans. when they knew that those were foods they confiscated them. :what

so there, I don't know about that in Japan. maybe you'll be luckier if you'd use courier service. you have higher chances since it's just liquid and it's inside a bottle. (I don't think bomb threat is that high or even exists there so security will be more lax I think)

Ah that's great. I think we should all meet up, with the raw materials to make the 'card', or compilation of messages. It just makes things easier. And regarding WELCH, if there really are security implications, we might have to forgo that idea, and think of something else, maybe the short video?

i dont like to spoil the plans BUT..

based on this welch thing, i think its a high possibility that this drink won't reach YUI. To what one of u said, the security won't risk this drink being 'poisoned' or something dangerous to be sent to YUI.

SO what i think is feasible is a collage of messages, photos and of course, a video. I think that has a got high chance of reaching YUI.
I will gladly lend my hand to this 'project' :)

Well, instead of everyone having their own individual Welch in their own photo, let's have a group shot instead.

We can bring some YUI related stuff just to show that it's all about YUI. Also, can have a birthday cake for YUI taken together with the Welch and stuff.

Well, YUI has had 2 albums (both with winter jacket version), 11 singles (4 with limited edition covers), 1 concert DVD, 1 movie DVD, and that limited-to-2000-pieces indie CD. Total of 21 to symbolize YUI's age.

Just get all the above 21 items, a bottle of welch and 11 people (each person holding 2 items). There you go, a very nice photo for YUI to celebrate her 21st birthday.

For something special, maybe write your messages on score sheets and collate a booklet.

teh video, we will just roll out the tune of "happy birthday to you you", den we will do it interview style, 1 by 1 say something to YUI. i dunno man, this kinda thing not my field of expertise. talk cock is, doing work aint.

Hmm the reason why we're taking photos of WELCH separately is because some of us can't make it on Monday. Well, we can take many photos- individual or group, and just develop whichever on is nice/ suitable.

CAN WE GATHER ALL HER SINGLES/ ALBUMS/ DVDS on Monday?? Or at least, bring whatever CDs you have of YUI.

^ Haha yeah there's a reason. Firstly, it's cuz it's school holidays next week! Secondly, I'll be leaving next Thursday. Well the second problem can be easily solved if there's someone to take charge from here!
