for me, was the best singer ever :good!.......she has a heavenly voice, gorgeous look, and she wrote her own song and make her own music.....that's what i like about her!!!!!

To me I love YUI because she seemed so average like the rest of us, but like so many people, she has so much to show inside and she did a great job now that she has the chance. She's like the beautiful girl next door that you want to marry, not a super glamorous TV type. I love that she still wears mostly t-shirts and jeans.

i LOVE how modest she is. you know how a lot of celebrities seem full of themselves? well YUI is nothing like that. i love how she doesn't let stardom get to her head. she seems like such a nice and sweet person, someone who'd be easy to get along with.

although we don't know that all for sure, that's the impression we all get. she writes all of her songs which a lot of artists fail to do. (Boo to those people who steal songs!) she's got a unique sound, and her style of music is so broad. she can do any style of music. :P

also, she's such an inspiration. she's the reason why I started wanting to learning guitar. oh, and yeah..what Fandan said too.

I love her. She is a great singer! Maybe not in terms of voice, but what I believe is that she sings her songs from her heart and I can really feel her emotions.

To be honest, I used to hate YUI. But after what my friend said about how similar me and YUI are... I started listening to her songs. And really, I really do like her songs because I find so much in common between me and her especially the way we think of things... Her voice is ok to me, but its the lyrics and the way she presents every song she writes, its like her babies... So delicate and good.
She's awesome, I hope she doesn't just change for anybody, and I know she won't... cos that's what she said in her songs... GO YUI!

I guess the main reason for her popularity amongst youngsters around her age, is the common understanding and comprehension of the songs that she writes. Given almost any teenager, he or she will definitely be faced with daunting challenges in life. While many of us refuse to succumb to these obstacles, sometimes, it just gets too tiring and demanding. And Yui, being just like one of us, despite being overwhelmed by these challenges, decided to be honest with herself, and writes them down into song lyrics, and then subsequently into songs.

While many of us still struggle to find the meaning behind all these challenges, or where the solution lies, when we read into Yui's lyrics, we gain inspiration and strength. We then realize that we're not weak, we are just human. We need to understand that the solution lies in ourselves, our willpower. We just need to be honest to ourselves when dealing with such problems.

If Yui has done it, so can we.

YUI-san is the best because she is simply herself. she is honest with what she writes and you know that it came from herself. It is what she feels and who she is. no pretentions, just her plain good ol' self.

It sounds really extreme, but to be honest, there are times I felt like this too. I really gained lots of strength and inspiration from her songs. For me, going to Japan to study was always a dream, Apart from all the 'fun and excitement' hype about it, when I seriously sat down and thought about it, it wasn't such a light matter after all. In fact, it was a huge decision to make, as it'd affect my life completely. But looking at yui and listening to her songs, and drawing the similarities between ourselves, I felt more assured that I'm making the right decision- to pursue my dream than to follow the mainstream blindly.

And I was thinking, if YUI ever reads this thread, she'll get the shock of her life! She's like a Goddess to us.

Well after hearing her song life from bleach her voice reminded me a lot of a friend of mine. My friend is nothing like Yui but I was always thinking "hey she sounds like this person". Then one day, a year later, for some strange unexplainable reason I searched YUI. I think the first song I heard other than LIFE and rolling star was "I remember you". Yui seemed so real. Like with celebrities its almost like they're nonexistant/not real people. With yui however, it was the exact opposite. One could believe that a person like her actually exists, you can also see that quality in her acting in taiyou no uta. It also seems as if we have a lot in common. We both had pneumonia when we were younger lol! And shes not too much older than myself. She's a great real life inspiration. Sometimes its the thought of her that lets me get to sleep at night when i'm too stressed about life.

I love her voice follow by her talent in song-writing and those wonderful melody. She is just awesome and her passion towards guitar inspire me to continue my guitar(i used to play guitar when i was young but stop for a long time). You will never get sick listening to her songs again again and again. Its always sound fresh.

She is a very talented, beautiful lady with a great voice, great guitar skills and she writes her own songs. And it's obvious that these songs r a part of her and her life. So it's is good and honest music that comes from inside of her (from her heart/soul).

And every time i see her in an interview or any other video i feel that she is such a "normal" and down to earth person despite all the fame. She has got a good sense of humor and never acts like a superstar. And after seeing her movie i felt that she does everything with great passion (playing her songs, writing them, acting etc.) And i think thats one of the reasons that makes her so unique in a very special way. like the others said, many stars r snobs do their work mainly for the fame and money. Yui does it for the music, for herself and her fans.

And she seems a bit shy which makes her even more cute, and i never saw some1 perform a song on stage in such a cute manner. :suki

and one more thing, her songs make me feel better. I'm a bit depressed every now and then but Yui's music always cheers me up and makes me smile.

YUI's the best for me because she can play the guitar, piano, and drums (as far as i know, these are the instruments she can play... i don't know if there's more), and has a gentle personality...
Has a cute voice... the way she talks, laughs, and sings are so heart-melting, you can't help but just helplessly stare at her...

Her being conservative gives her a perfect score for me...

Even though I only know YUI through her songs and the media, I feel a closeness to her. She continues to remind me of whats good in this world and whats possible if you believe in yourself.

For me, her voice is not really fascinate me, but the way she deliver her song is just strike directly into my heart.I feel sumthing sensational when hear her song, I love that feel. She got great attitude and persnality, actually I love everytin bout her too. She just a great entertainer. No need to wear such a bare clothes or so whatever,still can get so much attention...what a girl~~~
