wee!!! Why is that? becoz YUI is so great that ppl would be really sad if something like that movie happens to YUI *prays*!!
YAY for YUI!!
asuna - January 7, 2008 12:57 PM (GMT)
it is kinda sad actually... especially the part in the hospital showing her dad crying and when she wears the silver suit on the beach...
*simply_kawaii* - January 7, 2008 01:03 PM (GMT)
Wow!!! Congrats YUI and to the whole TnU staff!!! :clap
Maybe it's because the film was shown on the Cannes Festival..that's why it has reached up at the top 10 ranking..but i think it really deserves the achievement..^^

well, THIRD THAT! harhar! it was really sad although you would only realize when it reaches the latter part or the end. I've watched it for 5x already (I'm restraining myself from watching it for the 6th time, seriously) and still makes me cry. It was really a very touching story, how pure a love is and the downside of it, being left behind by the person you love the most then add being left by that person behind a very sad song that was made for you.
yvonneleung - January 7, 2008 04:32 PM (GMT)
i watched it 15 times....i cried 13 times...and the funniest thing is. i didn't cry the 1st time and the 2nd time i watched it. WEIRD!
ramirezz - January 7, 2008 04:53 PM (GMT)
hmmm... now thats a great achievement for who made taiyou no uta... maybe its because teh acting in it was so natural and very emotional..
I myself rarely cry much on films...
Titanic - ok... I partly disagree on this... wasnt that much sad... didnt even shed a tear on it...
Armaggedon - the fact bruce wilis died tried to save earth is a bit dramatic not that much for me...
Green Mile - is a nice addition... good choice...
Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu - truly a magnificient film... almost shed a tear on it XD
my only disappointment was some of the most saddest films I've ever seen was not in the top. Like Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru, man it was a great shock to me in the film, and also the movie Life is Beautiful.
anyway, congrats on YUI's acting on taiyou no uta that it made many japanese cry...
Ichigo - January 7, 2008 08:56 PM (GMT)
:shock TITANIC #1!??!?!? :what I really disagree with that...and taiyou no uta almost made me cry...(I took it like a man *sniff* and tried not to cry) but I really was :cry XD

Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru (Heavenly Forest)... =O I KNOW..this one was soooo beautiful
i wanna watch Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu ..it's apparently based on stories/novels from the same person who did Taiyou no uta..there's like a bunch of these types of movies with this type of innocent love story and illness thing...
congrats to YUI! yea i found it weird..i watched it the first time and didn't cry but after the 2nd one...i shed a few tears!
i think i cried a lot watching Armageddon when i was kid...the theme song by Aerosmith is so good..lol...
EndtoInfinity930 - January 8, 2008 03:28 AM (GMT)
OMG I WAS BAWLING WHILE WATCHING "Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu".
Also, yeah, I'm surprised that "Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru" wasn't on there.. that was freaking SAD!!
cLam - January 8, 2008 04:16 AM (GMT)
Yay for YUI! (I found Taiyou no Uta only a bit sad).. but yes, I disagree on Titanic (in fact.. i hated that movie)
I'm also surprised that 'Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru' didn't make it on the list, that was a brilliant movie... and I cried through the ending!

Well, FOURTH that !!! Yay Dood ! Finally ! An acknowledgment from Movie watchers.. YAY for YUI !!!! Dooood !!
yupeh - January 8, 2008 03:03 PM (GMT)
I didn;t even shed a tear in TITANIC, though I was touched by a very few scenes!
Taiyou no Uta wasn't really much of a tearjerker but it becomes that kind of film because of the "naturality" of the acting and the storyline that made the audience relates to the characters of the film. Even though I already watched TNU several times, I still feel the same emotions like watching it for the first time.
Cheers to TNU Staff, Crew and All!
Omedetou!

btw: i haven't watched titanic yet...
England - January 13, 2008 01:29 AM (GMT)
I disagree about Armaggedon being a sad film - In almost no aspect was "sad" (in the sense, the "sad scenes" were not long enough to make me cry).
Being English, I only watched the trailer for Taiyou no Uta on YouTube and I was overcome with emotion. >_>
Itachi - January 13, 2008 02:54 AM (GMT)

Those two places were ignored
because there were two entries for 5th and 8th place.
simOOn - January 28, 2008 05:16 AM (GMT)
i'm surprised 1 litre of tears isn't on the list. compared to the drama version of taiyou no uta, i think the drama one was sadder. it didn't seem like they made the movie with YUI in it too sad. but of course i liked the movie better cuz YUI's in it! :clap
the_chap - January 28, 2008 06:15 AM (GMT)
Grave of the Fireflies should have been higher on the list.
akuma_tsubasa - January 30, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)
