recently me and my friends met up for a new year countdown party, we've not seen each other for a long time. and among the topics talked abt, i find the most interesting is the part abt the film "i am legend"

almost all of us watched it since its like the biggest "blockbuster" on screen.
but i noticed 2 different sentiments from the bois and gals who watched the movie

the following refers to different parts of the movie

@ the dvd store

bois: nice, free supply of DVD, since he's the "last man on earth"

girls: feels really sad for smith as the scene shows him so lonely till he mistakes mannequins as humans

@ the part where he must kill his dog

bois: no feeling( the dog must go since he's infected)
gals: cries over the scene ( hoping that a miracle will occur and his dog is not infected)

@ the part where he tried to take on the dark seekers

bois: *smacks heads and exclaims* whats he thinking abt?

gals: feels sad to think that will smith who lost his only partner for 3 years intends to commit suicide

@ the part where will smith is cornered and ushers the lady and her son to safety in his lab

bois: thinks smith was gonna inject himself with the cure and let himself get devoured by the dark seekers thus curing them all and so he became a legend

gals: thinks smith was gonna act like a coward and hide in the chimmey(something liddat) together with them.

we all watch the same show, but the gals talks of it like some tear jerker flick from korea, where everything is just so damn sad, yet the guys can only see the actions and think of it as nothing but "yet another hollywood moneyspinner"

the guys climax would probably be the part when the darkseekers attacked smith house, but to the girls, the most memorable part was definitely the part where smith had to strangle his dog to death.

do all guys and girls feels differently about the movie? what do you think?

i think all guys shld buy a dog, gals are very attracted to the combination of man and dog ( just like will and his dog)

oh my goodness!

Okay well this movie is based on a 1954 science fiction novel by Richard Matheson. I've never read it so i'm sure there is so much more to this movie and things have been twisted a bit..but nonetheless....I walked into this movie not knowing ANYTHING about it other than Will Smith as the main actor. I didn't see any trailers nor read anything about it....and i'm suuuuure glad i didn't....

Will Smith is an amazing actor...to think that he was once on that "Prince of Bel Air" show back in the mid 90s and those horrible outfits LOL.....anyway his performance was really good...he was soo believable! i also enjoyed watching him in Independence Day..and i heard he was great in The Pursuit of Happiness....

I don't know if you or ur friends did..but my friends and i have recently stayed to watch movies till the end of the credits....and in the I Am Legend credits...you'd see a HUGE list of Ph.D doctors/psychologists......Will Smith probably had to work with these psychologists in order to properly portray how it'd really be like to be surviving alone for 3 years...and I think they all did a heck of a job...

Being able to talk to mannequins and act as if they were humans...it's not as easy as it looks...it's what kept him (the character) sane...i thought it was creative and smart of him to create these fictitious people around to keep him thinking straight...

His relationship with the man's best friend, the dog--Sam...was shown so well. I really liked how they linked it with the flash back to his family as well......I think we all saw it coming that the dog would probably die..and yea it was infected...but you could see Smith anguish over the loss...Sam saved his life and was his companion for so long.....I actually thought Smith injected the dog with a sedative to kill her...but to see Smith CHOKE his own dog..his own friend...that was just ....tear-jerking....i'm a girl but my guy friends still felt really saddened and upset.....

When he tried to take on those creatures after his loss...this just shows that he's lost his rationality...and i don't blame him for this...or think he's stupid...he lost his family ..and now his only companion...what's there left for him? his experiments weren't successful either! everything just seemed like all hope was lost....

and here comes the lady and the boy...i actually found this part a tad bit awkward....and it was a bit meh when she started talking about the whole "seeing a vision" and God...religion is a touchy subject..but i'm glad they showed Will Smith showing his disbelief and his loss of faith in religion

Alright and near the end when he decides to commits suicide for the safety of the lady and boy...some people asked why didn't he just go into the bomb shed/room too? Well those creatures would've broken through..and he tried to buy time...but..i think what really counts the most at this point is that...he's found a cure..That was his goal...he did it..and accomplished it. he has nothing else to live for...his entire family's dead...and heck..He wouldn't be a Legend if he didn't die eh? lol....

overall this movie REALLY surprised me...i'd give it 9.7/10!!

i think the creepiest and BEST scene was when Sam (his dog) rushed into the dark buliding and Smith had to look for him while covering his light on his gun..and the scene where he runs into a GANG/group of creatures huddling in a circle.....the LIGHTING in that scene was JUST right....it scared the hell outta me....

another thing..i am SO glad they didn't make this into a zombie fest type SHOOT THEM DOWN type of movie...i loved how this movie was a drama and not about action....the feelings from watching this were so human.....i loved it haha....

naah man by8n7 u gotta go see it in movies! my sister watched it twice in 2 diff theatres en feelin was completely diff! i was soo sad!! T.T awesome movie en seemed much more realistic than RE franhise!

uuhh.. dunno if i should say so or not.. but i didn't like it. i got extremely bored. although the story itself is good.. but still, i got extremely bored. maybe it's me being immuned to movies like those. sorry. haha. although the ending part was logical.. i meant the really end part. ^^'' ... although predictable XD

it was good... i went through and watched all the special features!

judging from the description of what guy vs girls felt for the movie..

i felt a lil of both...

i was pretty sad at the scene when his dog saved him...

and the part where he had to kill his own dog..

sigh... T_T i think i understand his rampage...

the freakiest part of the movie i think was when smith met the kid and the lady

and she brought him back to his house..

and when he woke up he was all quite and everything..

and then he like recited the whole shrek movie.. word for word...

im like wahhahHHHhhh OMG hes losing it! hes gonna slaughter them all!

anyway, i am legend was a good movie...

it was worth every buck i paid.... haha...

seen it wasnt so exciting,scary,or creepy at all haha yet NOT SAD ok dun mind the emotion-less akuma here haha good movie tho :clap :good
