well is it true as above? those who do sports may heard of the "ladder" which involves the person to step between the ladders gap. and u must raise your thighs high...i did that and i felt i ran faster...but of course more tiring...but its quite weird..rasing the leg higher takes a longer time to touch the ground...so is it true as above? please donttalk abt other parts of the body...just the thighs...thanks

hmm...not very sure about that...but i do know that in Tae Kwon Do, raising your thigh higher does help you kick faster...i think the question here is not about how high you shud raise your thighs, but how fast you can raise your thigh. Imagine someone raising their thigh very high but in slow motion,no matter how high you raise them, they'll still be slow. So,you shud raise and drop faster, instead of raising higher. As you already know, raising the thigh higher makes it take longer to touch the ground. It's all about the right method to do this.If you drop your thigh in the wrong way,you may end up sending your body weight DOWNWARD,thus slowing you down. You need to send your body weight FORWARD to go front faster.
Thus, i think how high you raise your thighs does not affect you speed. It's all about the speed you move your thighs and the way you do it.
PS:This is all my OWN experience from training Tae Kwon Do. If i've make some mistakes there, plz correct me. I dun want to tell someone something WRONG and resulting them in getting WORST than better.

Its may be true because you use most of the muscle on your thighs to run. the stronger it is the faster u ran.
Yup
Training on jumping real high also help too

well my pe teacher said moving your thighs higher making closer to your centre makes it go faster.

i know its not clear. its like a ice skater spinning. they move their hands towrd the centre and they spin faster. hands out = slower

therefore thighs high = closer to center = quicker rotations making more touches to the ground.

note you also have to have heels high aswell. I tried and its hard he siad that no athlete can do it perfectly.

Try actually leaning forward as your about to fall when you start it makes you go faster as you push more forwards than upwards

hmm...i see...so rasing thighs fast and dropping the thighs down fast is to run faster and not raise how high....
