Amy Macdonald (born August 25, 1987) is a Scottish singer/songwriter. She started writing songs at the age of 12, and at 15, she was playing acoustic gigs. Her first single, "Poison Prince" was released on May 7, 2007 and her debut album, "This Is The Life" on July 30, 2007. It has 11 songs (and a hidden track), all written by Amy.
I just found about her by accident last week, and I fell in love with her song "Mr Rock and Roll". Here you can watch the music video of the song.
I also really like her voice, pretty unique and different from other European and American artists, and I think she sounds mature for her age. I just listened to her debut album and eventhough it has a few filler tracks, I guess it's still pretty nice overall.
