just as the title says. i'll start ok.

i was climbing mount Cireme(3078asl) once in center Java. on the way up, me and my friends saw a grave of a female climber who died there at 1997. we've reached the top two days afterwards and i found a bouquet of idlewise(the eternal bloom) that blooms only above 2850m above sea level(if i'm not mistaken). so i took it and when we came down the mountain through the same path we rest not far from that grave we saw the last time. so, out of respect i put the idlewise bouquet on her grave. on the way down the mountain it was already midnight, we rest halfway. we set up tent and cook and sleep. i can't sleep so i went outside. suddenly behind the trees i saw shadows of a person standing and watching me. i kept looking around and i saw clearly a girl standing in front of a tree smiling at me. i don't know what to do. her face was soo pale and she looked soo cold. i feel frozen stiff and can't move. and when blinked she was gone. =O :shock
i think she's the ghost of that climber who died there. maybe she was saying thank you for the idlewise i put on her grave. i heard she died of hypothermia when there was a sudden storm at 1997. i hope her soul rests in peace. :what

Sorry, but I don't know anyone(

i've never really seen anything paranormal, but someone told me before that the goosebumps feeling u get with all the hairs standing up even when its not cold means that u walked through a spirit or something... i get that feeling all the time =O

We shouldn't really be afraid of things like this. There is already too much stuff about the world we don't know about or are blind to. Like for instance our existence. Why do we exist? So if you ever find yourself afraid of something like ghosts, demons, evil spirits, and etc. you have to really ask yourselves the real big questions.

Look at it this way:
Something is only real if you believe it is. Everyone in the whole world can believe in ghosts for all I care, but if you don't then they aren't real. You can't say something is supernatural if you don't believe in the supernatural.

I don't know about you guys but Fear to me is only an essence of the mind. If we can just slip away from it, Fear will be absent. Can you believe that I've gotten to the point where I'm not even afraid of Death? Maybe it's because I'm going through clinical depression and behavioral issues, but remember this: you can always trick your mind and learn to tame it; your mind is yours so learn to control it.

=O =O noooo don freak me out now!! its happens to me too =O

you_and_i - November 24, 2007 11:08 AM (GMT)
well, i believe n spirits. i think there is more to this world than we can see. i sometimes feel i saw someone from a distance but there is no one there. i just think it positively. i we don't bother them they won't bother us. i don't mind seeing ghosts if they don't hurt anyone.
Asian ghost are a lot more scarier than American or European ghost stories. but don't believe in horror movies because that is greatly exaggerated.

you_and_i - November 29, 2007 08:08 AM (GMT)
i think it'll be nice though scary. i mean, being afraid of something we don't know or understand is kind of a bad habit for people. if there are ghosts around me i wouldn't mind saying hello if possible, although maybe instead of hello i'll say "o hell" :what =O :shock run!!! hehehehe... :sry

why scared to tell? it's actually kinda fun. i have a few more if you want to know. :clap

I dont really believe paranomal (sp..) unless i experience it myself.
I usually get scared by a ghost in a movie...brb

you_and_i - November 29, 2007 09:02 AM (GMT)
well, i'm a climber so i usually have my ghostly experience during a journey. but this one happened when i was in my room. :rolleye
i was alone at my new house at night, and i was tired from doing my usual workouts. so i lay down on my bed. suddenly i woke up and i can't move. i was holding my survival knife that i thought i put in the drawer. i struggle to move but i can't. and then i saw a woman with white robe and her face covered with her hair right outside my window. i tried to move and get away, but i can't move. when i struggled harder my hand that hold the knife moves by itself as if something else moved it. and it points the knife to my chest. but then there is a voice of a little girl saying "relax, don't fight it. please." so i tried to think and relax. and suddenly i feel asleep again.
when woke up my body feels all worn out as if all my energy has been sucked out. it was so real but unreal at the same time. it could've been a dream, but i think it really does happen.

asuna - November 29, 2007 12:18 PM (GMT)
^ have u been watching too much Ringu? XD

dreams can sometimes feel very real especially since u felt tired when u woke up... here's a simple explanation: u struggled in bed too in real life while u were having that dream =)

here's a not-so-scary "ghost" story:

have u heard that the spirits of our dead relatives/loved ones reside in insects? it could be anything, depending on your local culture, even inanimate objects like pots and vases. Well the most common ones i heard are moths and grasshoppers.

there was once i came home from school and i found a huge black moth resting next to the main door. being a respectful nature-loving person i left it alone. the next day it was still there, and this time i felt like the moth was LOOKING at me. i looked at it and it flew away. at the time i had this feeling that it was my grandmother, and when i came back it was there again.

now everytime i see a moth i make it a point to say hello to it in my head. they might be watching over me =)

well, actually ghost or spirit is a real thing. when my dad passed away this Feb, my cousin told me he saw my dad's spirit standing outside of his funeral. when all our family member came back from burning the corpse, the door of my dad's car have been opened and the emergency signal is turned on parking outside of my house. all of my family member didn't make a fuss about it cause they know what's going on. So, i really believe in ghost cause there's more incidents that i have experienced in the 21 days period after my dad have passed away. in chinese culture, we believe that the spirit of the ones who passed away will be back after 21 days top see his/her family at 7.pm. everyone must be in their room and musn't make any noise. in between that time, i've heard many loud noises such as my bike fell down * i think....* cause there's a huge BAAAAANG's noise coming from outside and then i heard the noise of the table been knocked. As what i listen from my grandma, she says that in the 21th day, the bull demon will drag the dead person back to his house to see his family for the last time with the shackles on his hand and legs. The family members must prepared some roasted pork on a table with red candles and some roasted pork on the floor. After 11PM, we can leave our room but with 1 condition that is throw out a knife before going out. when my mom and i went out, we saw the pork dropped all around the places. about the huge BAAANG noise, nothing have messed up. my bike is still in it's stand.

This is a real story and i dont wanna recall it back. it makes me feel like missing my dad......
:sry

I've had two experiences with ghosts, well, not really the first example, since it was more so my brother, anyways.

Story #1:

This was a few years back at my old house when my brother and I were still going to elementary school. Well, at this time my brother was really young, and would still walk to school with our mom. Everytime they'd pass this street, this old guy would always wave to my brother and he'd wave back. This has been happening for awhile and for some reason my mom decided one day that he shouldn't return the wave, so he doesn't.

The following night my mom was in the kitchen cooking dinner, my brother was in the living room, and I was in the computer room.

So suddenly I hear my brother squeal and run into the kitchen, he starts to cry a lot and hold onto my mom, none of us knew why though because he wouldn't tell us.

About 2 weeks before we are ready to move out of that house, and we're all slightly older he decides to tell us. He tells us that during that evening he saw someone walk down the staircase beside him in the living room. The man was very pale, and dressed in dirty clothing that was ragged. When the man lifted his head to look at my brother, it turned out to be the old guy that he stopped waving too. My brother explained it as if he appeared to be dead.

Well, we looked into it, and it turns out that old guy died around the time my brother stopped waving to him.

Story #2

During my final week of basic training with the military, we were required to dig some trenches and set up a defensive position for 5days on about 4hours sleep total.

Well, we chose a wonderful dig site, a place right beside a graveyard.
(The base is located on an old pilgrim village, so there is still graveyards and old stone buildings erected in some places)

Rumour had it that our dig site was beside a large tree where a young girl had hung herself for whatever reason.

Well, during our 4th night out I was placed at the front line trenches in the machinegun pit. We were all pretty tired at this point... well, "tired" being an understatement.

It was about 11pm'ish? I noticed a red glowing object down the road by a tree. At first I thought it was someone walking back with their redlight filter on. I double check with my trench partner to make sure I'm not seeing things, but he sees it too, so do the other people on the frontline. So I called over my section commander.

He tells me that he had sent out 2 people from out section for recon, but neither of them were supposed to have their red lights on like that. So he tells me to take a closer look.

I pick up my rifle and use the ELCAN scope to take a look. At first I was quite shocked, it appeared to be a girl from the waist up, swaying back and forth in the branches.

I showed my section commander and he was just quite for a bit, then left to go bring the SGT over.

So the SGT comes over, takes a look, and says we're all stupid, and then leaves. Shortly after the red glow disappears.

So when it was morning, I took a look around, and that tree just happen to be the tallest one in the area, and quite secluded.

Needless to say, I didn't have trouble staying up our final night : ) .

things like that often happens outdoors you know. i was a climber and yo wouldn't belive how many ghosts there are in the mountains, forest, and other places like it.

once when on a climb, my friend was really tired so we rested. the mountain ranger that guided us asked us not to rest there too long but she can't move because she was really tired. suddenly all the sounds surrounding us stoped and it became so quitethat i don't even hear any crickets. she my friend suddenly fell asleep there and won't wake up. the mountain ranger was having a cold sweat, and stares at our surroundings. i looked around and i feel like we're being watched.

we stayed there till morning, and when we finally reach the top, he told us what he saw that time. he saw a bunch of pale faced people, some are bloody, the male was laughing and the women was crying and they were watching us. that's why the voices stopped. :shock =O
