O.o !!!
yea, let's see how they will screw this up *swt* i've always wondered how dragonball would "look" like, if it's adapted into live action movie.... but...... if it's produced by Stephen Chow.... er, will it be a comedy??...... well, i've nth to say... let's wait.... :rolleye

I think that "Dragon Ball" with real actors could only be considered lightly and like a comedy, because of its "crazyness"... A little like M. Chow "Kung Fu Hustle" movie... If he does something like this, he will be safe. It will be hard for him though... It's not easy. GOOD LUCK CHOW sifu !
ps : At firts glance, I though It was a thread about tsunvun86 and JKDragoon having a quarrel here... (promise!) :what

it will only be amazing if stephen chow is goku...
any other person will screw it up...
we already seen him do a kamehameha in one of his movies... (Tang Bohu dian Qiuxiang - the flirting scholar)

if your gonna make a live action of something THIS awesome like DB..
you gotta make it funny... or a parody...
or else you end up like the other crap live actions around....
its okay... HK people make good live actions...
look at Initial D :clap
but Stephen Chow better play Goku haha

LOL
The whole thing just sounds wrong.
But since Stephen Chow is the King of Comedy and Crap, we'll be expecting funny crap.

lol I look forward to watching this. Just as long as it's not like the anime where they spend 90% of the time trash talking each other and charging up their kamehameha.

i doubt that this Dragon Ball is a comedy. normally Stephen Chow often play stupid roles and doing stupid things + doing stupid stance. i think this Dragon ball might be very funny.

I absolutely have no idea how this will work out.
According to the news arcticle, the one who will play Goku is "War of the Worlds" actor Justin Chatwin, who played the son of Tom Cruise's character.
So Stephen Chow is gonna play another role?
Also, Stephen isn't the director for this. James Wong (X-Files, Final Destination) will be the Director.
I'm just typing this out, since I don't think many have read the actuall article.
So is this still is a "Stephen Chow" Movie?
It would be a comedy if it was, but this is actually a Hollywood production (Twentieth Century Fox).
Americans making a live action movie of Dragonball, even before the Japanese themselves have done it?
This better be good...
