Red & White Singing Battle (Kouhaku Uta Gassen), the annual New Years Eve event, will once again take place.

There might be a chance of YUI making her first appearance at the event. :clap

The above is a list of projected list of artists for this year's event since the official site doesn't have a confirmed list yet.

I wonder what song she will sing if she goes to the event? :rolleye Let's cross our fingers and hopefully YUI will attend the event.

Anyway when will it be?

It will be difficult for her to win because Kitajima Saburô (aka "sabuchan") 北島三郎（44th participation already !!!!) will be in the white team... and he rock !!!
Ok... red will have Kobayashi Sachiko and Ishikawa Sayuri, two enka queens... so... I guess it will be an interesting match.

it was said that the list of the Red & White Singing Battle is still, yet to be confirmed.
As this one was only a prediction list from some other website.

somehow it looks like most them in red teams are females and white are males. so it's like Male vs Female? GO GO YUI-sama!

i've heard about this in Japinoy.com...

it's a yearly festival in Japan where artists battle...

Those in red team are female artists and those in white team are male artists... judges and home viewers vote who will win...

the artists who will perform are chosen by "i forgot...lol" and they are artists who've had good sales for the year...

the performances take place before the new year... minutes before 12 am the performances end, and together they count down to New year!!! =O

I think it has been confirmed that YUI will participate in Kohaku this year.

By the way, the concept of Kohaku has changed to "Boy's affair" for this year with boys leading both Red and White Teams.

NHK has revealed its hosts for the annual Kohaku Uta Gassen. SMAP leader Masahiro Nakai is returning, but he will be the host of the Red Team instead of the White, which will be led by rakugo artist Tsurube Shofukutei. This is only the third time in history that both teams are led by men - it happened in 1955 and 1956 when Teru Miyata and Keizo Takahashi performed the hosting duties.

It was widely rumored that the teams would be hosted by Masami Nagasawa and SMAP, leading to much surprise when the announcement was made.

The show's overall hosts will be announcers Miki Sumiyoshi and Kazuya Matsumoto. The official website has also been updated.

Yeah, that's just a prediction. Let's just continue to hope that YUI will be participating in Kouhaku! It will be a great honor for her to do it. :)
