so hey guys...
lately i've been thinking of getting a you know.. music gadget thing, and on my list, there are ipod nano (2nd generation), ipod nano (new one), and sandisk..
okay some of my friends told me that sandisk is wayy better than ipod, well they couldn't come up with a good reason. So i guess they say it's better, because they have a sandisk? Just wanna hear what others want to say about it..
Right now when i think of buying an ipod.. it's kinda weird to buy the big 2nd generation ipod, but then i dont really like the new one.. with the small screen for video.. Seriously ! if i wanna watch video with my ipod so badly, i will go buy an ipod video, not this ipod nano with a stupid small screen.
But i thought it is kinda lame to get the old one when there's a newer generation out... and 2nd generation ipod = nice colours.. new ipod = weird colours
Could somebody help please?? :P
I have a Sandisk myself. Sanas m series(forget which one but it's 1 gb). These things for for a bargain. You can probably get a 1 gb one now for around $20. Well iPod has been known for their expensive products but that doesn't necessarily mean high quality. Are these the only two brands that you are considering? Because there are some other great brands too. If you're thinking iPod, it's your lucky day. Apple decreased their price on their refurbished iPod nanos for a limited time. Yes they are refurbished but by Apple so they are still awesome. Here is the link if you want:
2GB-$79, 4GB-$99, 8GB-$149
get a music player with upgradeable external mem... from like SD cards...
an ipods koo... and u cant beat he 30 gig mem... or whateva size u choose.. but i dont like the fact that you cant add more mem..
with sd cards now a days going up to like 8+ gigs... and pretty soon a 16 gig sd card..
its koo to gear towards sd..
im predicting in a few years and we are gonna start having 100 gig sd cards...
iron_turkey, like you, I don't really like too much of the new Nano's "fat" design. What they should have done is have the screen vertical, and when playing video, just have the user turn it sideways. That why the nano can slim down the width so it's more "pocket friendly".
As for sandisk, I think you're looking at the 4GB one at FutureShop for $120?? Or is it the 8GB one at Best Buy for $150?? I've played with it before. It uses a center dial to scroll. But the thing I don't like about it is the dial comes out too much and the 4 buttons (one each side of the dial) are too close to the dial and I find it hard to press these buttons because the dial is in the way.
I was thinking of getting a new mp3 player too. One of my possible choice is the Creative Zen V Plus. It uses a mini directional stick. I might sound like that it's less convenient as the dial, but I think at least it'd be better than the the Sandisk where the dial gets in the way of pressing the buttons. And I've always liked Creative's sound quality.
