Title: Why is . . .
Description: Ask yourselves a question
JustAnotherYUILover - October 6, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
I don't know if I'm being original or anything but there was this one question that came to my mind and I started pondering on it. In this thread, you can ask questions starting or leading from and to the words "why is". These questions can either be rhetorical questions or simple answered questions. The idea is to see how the person below you answers it. If they can answer it that is. I would say let the same question be answered by different people for at least 2 times. For example I can ask "Why is the sky blue?" Person number 1 could give a crazy scientific answer and leave you stumped. Person number 2 could simply give a ridiculous answer like for example: The sky is blue because the sky is sad. Two people can never see something from the same view. Just think of it this way. If I am standing 2 feet away from a crystal and I am directly in front of it, there can be no other person that is standing where I am because I have already occupied the space that I am on. This thread should be fun but still give you something to think about. So let's begin shall we. I don't care if this thread goes on. I just wanted to ask this question. Lol . . .
Introduction:
You know how we refer to 'God' with a capital 'g'. Let's not think about pronouns. Let's put that all the stuff we have learned in school aside and just use our minds. Let's be rationalists. Was there a time in life when people decided that they were higher that the Almighty? Did people arrogantly crown themselves the title of "wise man"? This leads me to ask this why is question.
Why is "i" capitalized?
locast - October 7, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
"i" it self looks small and needs magniflition?
and i doing right?

i'm not suppose to ask yet right?

yukio - October 7, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT)
because humans are selfish by nature and like to look at themselves as big. So, I is capitalized, metaphorically LOL. hahaha competely random answer.
why is George Bush an idiot?
JustAnotherYUILover - October 7, 2007 12:33 AM (GMT)
Well . . . We accomplished something. I proved my theory that no different people are going to have the same exact view.
George Bush is an idiot because his parent(s) dropped him when he was just a child.
locast - October 7, 2007 01:23 AM (GMT)
2 answers for each question and another new question is that it?
my answer will be bush is jus acting blur

pandas who read this scare me - October 7, 2007 10:44 AM (GMT)

why is it we always see/assume aliens to have like so much more advanced technology than us as seen in ummm movies and tv and stuff
yukio - October 7, 2007 06:13 PM (GMT)
lol i think the rules for this is that two people answer the same question, to see wt different answers people can give.
so person A: why blah blah blah
Person B: answers the question
Person C: Answers the question, makes up a question: why blah blah blah
so on.
to answer hte last question:
because we fear the unknown, and they are unknown so we think they're more superior and we should fear/respect/look up to them
next person answers the same question and then gives another question
led_fran - October 8, 2007 12:40 PM (GMT)

why is that we need money?
JustAnotherYUILover - October 8, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
LOL. Wow my thread is still hanging in there.
We need money because humans love the feeling of holding paper in there hands and pretending they are worth something.
cidintank - October 8, 2007 01:54 PM (GMT)
Well I think money is sort of a motivation to work, also as a way to equate your all kinds of work together know what I mean? @@ Like nobody would want be in the service industry since they won't get anything out of it (goods for barter trade) so in a way it's kind of like putting worth yo your efforts. I think... :sry
Why do people point to their wrists when they ask for the time but they don't point to their mouths when asking for food?
asuna - October 8, 2007 03:23 PM (GMT)
well i do that sometimes :X plus the gesture with my 2 fingers like chopsticks shoving food into my mouth
because we wear watches on our wrists which gives us the time, but we don't have our stomachs in our mouths, plus it looks kinda obscene pointing at your own open mouth :what if u know what i mean
pandas who read this scare me - October 8, 2007 06:24 PM (GMT)
thats intresting asuna
well i think that when we work we need to know the time so to we need sign language to be unoticed by "the man" When we are hungary it isn't anything wrong as such. We also grumble in our stomachs aswell when we are hungry
why is it we have to learn in school?
iron_turkey - October 9, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)
huh.. i dunno ask umm the government
why is this thread existing ?
JustAnotherYUILover - October 9, 2007 06:58 PM (GMT)
LOL! I wonder as well. Haha . . .
We have to learn in school because we're just slaves of our society. That's the way we're brought up and that't the way it's going to be . . . Until Someone steps up.
br4d137 - October 9, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT)

why is being matured for a certain age good?
gotchi - October 10, 2007 06:50 PM (GMT)
hm well i dont know if we should say it's a 'good' thing...i mean people should act their age..
i mean we dont wanna see adults with childish behaviors..just grow up and deal with it...but reality is sometimes harsh
i think maturing sometimes really takes away a person's youth and innocence...and even creativity...some people become very serious about handling situations
people want to be mature perhaps b/c they feel like they're more of an adult...i mean it's great to be mature about things..u know what's important and you can prioritize things..become aware of the situations and act in the most efficient and safest manner...
we want people to be professional and act mature about things to make them credible...
okay i'm running on 3 hrs of sleep i dont think i made any points but it's just my blabbing and thoughts on maturity
