Yes, this time, they actually did license the song for Fiona to sing. But the lyrics and her singing just takes away from the emotion of the original YUI's song.

My heart stopped when I saw your topic title......
I mistook it as "YUI is copying (someone's) song" =.=''

this Fiona shouldent change the lyrics....just translate it.....it's totally different!!! and the mv is dipressing....
NorthernLight[Zzz] - September 28, 2007 03:19 PM (GMT)
idiot that dont read the intro of the mv properly just get the wrong idea. She do give credit to YUI. it was in the mv itself. So many people in youtube just give comment/insult Fiona while she's just too innocent for it =P (no offend and i'm not Fiona-fans)

well... this mv is creepy, but i think there's another version of it, since few months ago i saw this song's mv but it wasn't the same as this one but it's this song

It quite common for other singers to use the some song of j-pop artist... This is really not the first case... Ayaka's songs sung in Chinese. I not sure the lyrics were translated or it is totally different...

Lyrics are usually re-written to something else, not translated. More often, direct translation does not make good lyrics in another language. (I'm not saying the original lyrics are not good, I'm just saying that the translated words may not sound good with the music.)

This is not a recent case. Dear Fiona came out last year. And since it's properly licensed, so DON'T consider this as Copy.

It's just a cover. Actually, I've heard a lot of Chinese covers of songs. Some of them are really nice covers, this one I wasn't so fond of, but I guess it's because "Tomorrow's Way" is one of my favorite YUI songs. *shrug* :X

This is like really late don't you think? Stop dwelling on the past. This was almost 1 year ago. And it's actually not even Fiona's fault. She sings whatever is given to her. YUI did get credit for it. Does credit involve going to the extremes to insult a singer that is innocent? People stop stepping on other singers when you don't know the facts. Learn more about things before you speak.
P.S. - I use to be Fiona Sit fan but even if I weren't, I just can't stand what some of you guys were saying. This is actually the song that led me to YUI and I'm happy that this song was released.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1dLXsU2FhgI think that's the one you're thinking of, because I remember seeing it last year.

let me tell you guys a story. a girl wants to be a singer but sucks at it. her dad works as a music manager and through her dad bribing record companies she becomes a singer with a fanbase consisting of ppl with bad taste. guess what? that's fiona sit. the 'singer' i absolutely hate. can't sing live and pretends she can't speak cantonese properly when her english is even worse. i remember seeing the tmr's way cover. she dresses up like mika nakashima and sings yui's songs. =.= lol, the funny thing is, her cover is one of the best selling singles in her career. just a reminder, tmr's way was one of yui's lowest selling singles. im not against covers and i dont think its copying, but i just hate her for buying herself into the industry and pretending not to be chinese.

Justify her innocence.
I don't see how she is innocent in this.
As what zenaku said, there's simply no innocence involved while she was buying her way into the music industry.
Some artists are just plain crappy, and they deserve bashings. Period.

Well, I think it's ok since Fiona give credits to YUI :rolleye
:sry Maybe it would be great if she make her own song
But that means that YUI is really awesooooooome!! :suki Right?! XD
