I know this is funny coming from a guitar newbie like me. I've recently tried to figure out strumming by ear and I might have gotten slightly better(not boasting). Sometimes you can take the stuff you know and fill it in with your own strums. There's only 2 types of strums after all. Up or down. Experiment and you might just come up with your own strumming pattern. As for timing that's a different issue. Ha. . . You got me.
