http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/entertainment/n...-OHT1T00092.htmCongrats to YUI. This means that she has finally become one of the superstars in Japan.
Here's her comment
"It's been four years since I came to Tokyo when I was 16. I can't believe I will be on the stage of the Budokan this fall. I would like to express my appreciation for everyone who has supported me by performing exellently."

thunderhead - September 5, 2007 11:50 AM (GMT)
nippon budokan, never heard of this place until now, checked it on wikipedia and WOW!!! so many of the world's biggest acts performed there, the beatles, bob dylan, kiss, guns N' roses... and the list goes on. and yaeh, most of japan's biggest stars performed there too, so dear YUI must be doing really well right now.
is this going to be a YUI solo act or will there be other artists performing as well?
click here for information on wikipedia
bo_thug - September 5, 2007 11:59 AM (GMT)
hmm..that place sounds HUGE..TOO HUGE [now that i know who performed there..the artists thunderhead listed ARE pretty big!].
is she REALLY gonna perform solo? haha...

-- Translated in 3 minutes (lazy to recheck =x ).
Gin's right, another documentary!!!!! Budoukan.......not really big compare to those baseball arenas and stuff. But still, it's like Hong Kong's Red something (紅舘), it represents another stepping mile on YUI's career. Mixed feelings......
CONGRATS!!
PS: YUI senryuu thing you can find out more about it at
my blog LOL.

If you're not living in Japan, and don't have Japanese friend to buy tix for you, Yahoo Japan Auction is still the best way to get the tix. There are a lot of online ticket service website in Japan, but you'll never beat Japanese people when tickets are out for sell (from my direct experience . :what ).

KaiserKawaii - September 7, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
eh?!!! so that Budokan is really that special?...
all i know is Tokyo Dome... hahahahah...
anyway, if it is a big place then it doesn't suite YUI's style...
closed small spaces is better for her... she'll strain herself too much if she performs in huge areas...
in addition, i like the acoustic YUI better which means I hope she performs an acoustic song which is impossible right now coz she's leaning towards rock already... but still...
GANBARUYO YUI-SAMA!!!
s0l1dsn8k3 - September 7, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
Budokan is big. Tokyo Dome, however, is HUGE. I don't think YUI will ever have a Live of her own at Tokyo Dome.
Having said that, I think they need to coach her more on the singing not to over exert and let the audio technician to balance her vocal out with the band music.
Acoustic YUI is always the best.

Woow.. good job YUI-chan! Good luck for the show. I wish I could see it :cry
I hope YUI'll be playing on the street (or something like that) still, after this superstar-things done...
asuna - September 15, 2007 06:57 AM (GMT)
woohoo BUDOKAN!!! she made it!!! congrats to YUI!! :clap
i think she'll be able to interact with the audience very well over there, the stage is totally surrounded by the stands 360 degrees (according to DAI's final live concert over there) can't wait to see her run around with her guitar and hi5-ing her fans XDDD
