Title: Vexille movie official site
Description: YUI's comment..!

uchihamel - August 31, 2007 06:30 AM (GMT)
I wonder if I posted this in the correct section.
Anyway, Vexille is a SF animation movie released on 2007.08.18 in Japan. On the official site for this movie, there were comments made from various artistes. And surprisingly, YUI commented in the site too!! :what

Here's the site: http://www.vexille.jp/index2.html

Go take a look at the Recommend section! To be honest, I know little about such movies.. Wonder if anyone know about this movie by any chance? Like why YUI is connected to it?

News taken from this blog: http://blog.livedoor.jp/symbolisme/

Erm.. I think it means " It is not possible to control someone. In other words, it is also not possible to be controlled by someone"... I don't get the connection though. Perhaps it has something to do with the movie? :X

gotchi - August 31, 2007 09:40 AM (GMT)
hmm i wonder how it's all related too! ..interesting, they have one of the members from ORANGE RANGE on there too and the grp that is singing the ending theme for the movie on there...anybody else have an idea what this is all about?

About the movie Vexille (from anime newsnetwork):

In an alternate 21st century, Japan's scientists has perfected the art of biotechnology and robotics, its benefits extending the lifespans of all humans. However, the United Nations deemed the advanced technology a dangerous threat and started strict surveillance on Japan. (<--i guess this is where the whole "controlling" thing comes in ) The government of Japan refused to abide by UN's demands to halt research, in the year 2067 left the UN and isolated itself visually and communically. Ten years later, an American special forces unit by the name of SWORD, led by its female commander named Vexille, are sent to uncover the current status of the isolated Japan, after the country begins its plan to move. The shocking secrets they find will shock the rest of the world.

Interesting story indeed.. :clap Looks like her comment is based on the movie.. Cool..

I LIKE YUI's comment. Really summarised up the whole thing, and unique. Sounded different from other comments. YUI!! YUI!!

Even though I've only watched the trailer lol :X

誰かを支配することなんて出来ない。
つまり、誰からも支配されることはない。

Woot!!

This reminds me of My Generation...egaita yume wo shinji kirenai yowasa ni tada shihai (支配) sareteta
16 My Dream

*runs away

Helixius - September 1, 2007 05:31 AM (GMT)
Cool. To make such a meaningful comment, she seems to have watched the full movie? hmmm :hee

NorthernLight[Zzz] - September 1, 2007 07:20 AM (GMT)
good comment YUI :good

This movie sounds interesting

atheon - September 2, 2007 02:54 PM (GMT)
Dear YUI watched another movie again, taken from the same Japanese blog (another great site), this time she watched Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten, a movie about a band called The Clash and it's guitarist, Joe Strummer.

Lazy to create new thread, YUI's comment:

攻撃の裏側にあるものは
怒りではなく
悲しみだとわかった。

Ok now we know why YUI wrote Jam. Seriously.

Another fantastic comment!!!!!!! (someone help me translate lol)

Seems like she's been watching some movies lately.. =P Eh I still dunno why she wrote JAM?? Oh dear, I cant understand some kanji. @@

mono - September 2, 2007 03:39 PM (GMT)
uchihamel:

I think 攻撃 means attack
裏側 means the backside

I just understand these kanji in term of their chinese meaning though = =

Edited:I think the whole sentence means "the thing that hides behind attack/offense is not anger, it's understood to be sadness"
Likely to be this?

Thanks.

I probably get half the meaning... The key is the kanji. Shall wait for someone to enlighten me! :sohot

The Clash has something to do with Sex Pistol (both British punk rock band), hence Jam. See the lyrics of Jam =)

What YUI meant was:

I finally understand that behind all these attacks
It was not hatred but sadness

Probably she was talking about the actions of Joe Strummer or somebody else.

Dear YUI is really good at writing such comments :suki

Fujii_Itsuki - September 3, 2007 06:11 AM (GMT)
I'm wondering how YUI get to watch the movie. Bought the DVD online? Since the release date for Japan is September 2007(according to IMDB). =/

But yeah, her comments always have a poetic feeling to them. <3

NorthernLight[Zzz] - September 3, 2007 07:27 AM (GMT)
YUI have strong imagination <3 Love Jam and YUI :D

KaiserKawaii - September 3, 2007 07:38 AM (GMT)
i love her even more... she's so poetic. at least, even though she didn't finish school like the other kids out there, she's got more sense in her than any artist i've known...

gotchi - September 3, 2007 07:43 AM (GMT)
ooh yea her comments are quite deep and reflective...she's quite the thinker...and her choice of words are poetic...she's awesome!

mono - September 3, 2007 08:23 AM (GMT)
I read from the magazine Newsmaker 2007.10, that YUI also watched "Toki wo kakeru shoujo"

(English title "the Girl who Leapt through time").

I gonna watch this film on the coming weekend =]

oo i liked this movie! even though it was a typical time-traveling movie and some parts were kinda predictable...it was touching and it was interesting to see how the characters developed...

Ah.. Now i understand.. Thanks! Her comments really have style and uniqueness i must agree. Yay for YUI! :cool

Edit: I watched toki wo kakeru shojo too!! It was interesting! :clap

mono - September 3, 2007 10:46 AM (GMT)
I only read the comic of Toki wo kakeru shoujo at this moment

Quite meaningful, the main theme is about "time waits for no one"

And I think the theme song is quite good!!

atheon - September 3, 2007 10:58 AM (GMT)
I shall find this anime and watch it too ^_^

Since we already 'deviated' to movies, I'm downloading What's Eating GILBERT GRAPE now, remember the nude video?? =P

Fujii_Itsuki: I think artists get to watch these soon-to-premi鑽e movie earlier so that they can give their comments about it to attract more people (like us) to watch it.

YUI is watching more movies, means that she's enjoying her life now, got the time to watch movies :nah

mono - September 3, 2007 11:28 AM (GMT)
(Getting more diverged ><'')

I watched "Tada, Kimi wo aishiteru" recently

It's quite nice, with both laughing and touching parts

Though I think there's no such disease described in the film...

atheon - September 3, 2007 11:59 AM (GMT)
^ that movie has nothing related to YUI, minus 10 points!!

Luckily our forum doesn't have such system =P

Might as well 'spit' out all the movies YUI mentioned before:

Gladiator
Bewitched *ahem*
Kiki's Delivery Service (she likes Gibli movies)

She once said that she wanna watch Ooku the movie (or drama).

Cannot recall anymore =.=

Btw YUI kinda likes Russell Crowe.

Yeah, that makes sense. And it does indeed attract ppl like us. Haha.

What's Eating GILBERT GRAPE. Ahh, watched that a long time ago on local TV. Young Johnny Depp and Leonardo Di Caprio. Heheh.

Well, I heard YUI liked 20th Century Boys? That's one of my favourite manga too. Almost everything by Urasawa Naoki is great. I really gotta catch up with the latest chapters.(The scanlations just completed) =3

That's a nice idea i think. But would probably need people like atheon to supply the info before we can discuss it. Heh. =]

he's a really good actor but isn't he also the actor who has a bad personality... isn't he the one who punched Lily Subisky(not sure with the spelling)?...

mono - September 8, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
I just notice that Vexille will be on show in HK on 27/9

I may go to watch it^^

gotchi - September 15, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
