Title: Who uses Guitar Pro here?
Envelope - June 11, 2007 09:22 AM (GMT)
If you do, are you interested in making songs together? You know working it together and such. I'm not good, but it might be fun. Serious inquiries only please.

Yep, I use GP5 too. I'm pretty sure anyone using GP4 can help too. I don't think anyone still uses GP1/2/3 Anyways.

what is guitar pro anyway..
dun have an idea 'bout it..
Hanai - June 13, 2007 01:17 PM (GMT)
I use this app. too.
its a another way to learn a guitar in short time.
Cause you can read the chords or tabs with hearing the sound too.
That's why i use this to learn instead of take a lesson in a course.

Zenaku, got MSN or YM? PM me it so I can add you. If there's anyone interested in joining, ask away. Serious inquiries only. I'm shit, but fuck it, let's get this shit done.
tsunvun86 - June 15, 2007 12:31 PM (GMT)
I use it when I'm lazy to learn songs the hard way....
But I never used it to write music....
I think you're looking for people who can write music right?
Envelope - June 15, 2007 01:01 PM (GMT)
Yep. It's a learning process, I'll help you with your song, you help me in mine.
Jfish - June 27, 2007 02:50 PM (GMT)
i only use gp5 as an input source...during band practise
i use another software called "sorner" to do midi.
anyway i also use gp5
Dlyan - July 1, 2007 12:05 PM (GMT)
i use it too, it's a very good software.
iron_turkey - July 4, 2007 11:20 AM (GMT)
me me me.. i dont use it often tho
Envelope - July 6, 2007 11:42 AM (GMT)
me and tsunvun tried it out together. It's a bad idea and it won't work unless you actually know how to use GP.
Hanai - July 22, 2007 12:17 PM (GMT)
Yeah, until nowadays, i cant create or even edit the songs or even the notes in gp5. Only use it to play guitar. Cause we can learn tabs in simple ways on that software. One thing that make me likes tis software cause can play sound. hihi

I used to use GP5 quite a lot to tab a few songs from official transcripts and then changing what I thought would be better or adding a new solo...
I've found that getting ForteMP helps with the sound output as well, but that's just my preference over the RSE output.
Any particular songs/artists we talking about tabbing here?
Or made up stuff?

i use it mainly to learn new songs and play along since its much easier to read than tabs... tried tabbing out some songs before but it was really hard work >.< i think i managed to complete ROAD OF MAJOR's Taisetsu na mono, but it wasnt perfect

Well, when this all started. I was planning doing originals, but me and tsunvun couldn't work it out together since he doesn't know how to use GP5 and decided to use a mic to record his parts instead, which was bad for me since I don't have a mic either :P I know how to use GP5 but no one to play around with it with me.
JKDragoon - September 2, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
OOO... I tend to be kinda bad with originals...
Depends how it starts and what inspiration I have!
I definetely can't start from scratch nothing... :S
But I do use GP5 quite well (with Forte MP... I hate the RSE things...)
Currently, I'm tabbing YUI songs on GP5 to 'donate' to the forum members who would like a score that is under GP5. I'm working on her songs that don't include the electrical lead (i.e. the ones that are in her allsongs score only!)

Done "Cloudy"?
Tabbing those out from scores to GP should help you out, since you're indirectly studying music theory. Should really help you come up with good ideas.
JKDragoon - September 2, 2007 04:42 AM (GMT)
I've actually tabbed out quite a few songs on GP5...
I only JUST started doing YUI tabs because I wanted to play the true solo for "crossroad"...
Having a little trouble with the "crossroad" drum part... Finally think I've managed to solve the INTRO... ARGH... Still a whole score to go!! =.="
At least I've got the electric guitar parts, acoustic part and YUI's vocals down... That's more than half the songs done!
Electric parts didn't come with the tabs, so I had to tab directly from the score and figure out better fret positions (didn't want to be moving from 5th fret to 17th fret for no reason!)...
Listened to "Cloudy"... Uhhohh... :P
@@
Drums... =.=
Let's just say I hope that wasn't a request/challenge!!... :P
You done any originals on GP5?

Yeah, I've done mediocre originals -- none are finished haha. As for Cloudy, it's both a request and challenge :P You should upload all your GP tabs up si people "(like me) can use it :D
JKDragoon - September 3, 2007 03:30 AM (GMT)
I am...
http://yui-lover.com/index.php?showtopic=4961NOOO... How dare you issue a CHALLENGE... ALAS...
Okay... I'll level with you... Lemme finish "Good-bye days" and "Last Train" and maybe a couple more before I take on "Cloudy"... :clap

I'm okay with that lol. I couldn't tab Cloudy if my life depended on it. My ears ain't for tabbing! But thanks~ :clap
