hehe. Cause the story is much great.
But i feel very2 bad after suikoden 4 and 5 is out.
The story aren't good againts suikoden 1 - 3.

And do you know tis game is take from chinese legend story.
and become a game online too that names Water Margin.
Nah, about the character tis game is no much with other game.
Cause the character is 108. Waw, watz a lot character.
And has 27 True Runes (the cursed one).

Now, i going to search SUIKODEN 3 manga, cause the story is the good one.

Suikoden.. amazing n classic. didnt play 1 though.. i know of soul-eater rune only in suikoden 4 where i get Ted. The thing about this series.. the characters and storyline were ALWAYS linked and you get pieces and bits from characters.. (etc, Viki & Jeane) npc and towns. then you'll recall something and you're like.. aww nostalgic lol. :lol:

Suikoden 2 - my fav is 2, its got the best storyline n best gameplay to me of the series... just classic. i love the whole gameplay..all its characters. Riou.. Jowy.. Nanami.. Shu.. and almost forgot.. LUC!! perhaps because i played this game first of all suikoden and left the deepest impressionis one.. but seriously the fighting sequence and 'tactical' battles were all excellent. Relation of black sword and bright shield. the sad twists and happy endings after war. whoa luving it.


suikoden 3, 4 and 5 always lacked something though.. (i think one of the key person in konami changed?)

suikoden 3 still managed a good plot and storyline but the game is too short and keep hovering around the same conflict for more than half of the game. Love the fire, lgihtining, water, earth runes' relations though. The opening animation is also very good, i've watched it hundred times back then. But from here we already got suikoden fans complaining the drop in suikoden series standard, because comparing to the 'legend rpg' suikoden 1 & 2.. it lags quite abit. Geddoe rox though.. luc n sarah too... aw nostalgic

Suikoden 4 it gets more obvious.. the graphic level hasn't improved abit from suikoden3 despite the whole game n animation industry's improvement in the years. i remember i saw the opening animation of the game i was like... i can't believe how bad it is. its really a turning down. The sea battles all too many and boreddddd the whole gameplay instead of giving a 'fresh' look of a whole boat HQ and 'pirate', free-roaming idea. plot is also.. so predictable. The main rune, rune of punishment.. is sadly prehaps the lousiest 'True' rune in the series. (its still a strong rune, but compare to soul-eater rune.. black sword, bright shield... argh) quite letdown la seriously

Suikoden 5.. well its not here.. not ther. the opening animation is again not that kind of 'wow' in earlier series anymore. main character is .. yuck.. girly.. gaylish clothes. and he's using sorta twin weapon (copy Riou lo..) luckily the knight's costume were awesome though... (georg rox). The storyline n is not bad... if only the graphics and the 'tactical' battles, the gameplay were even better it can go greater heights. The relation of sun rune... dawn rune n twilight rune is not bad when its combined on main male n female char. but well.. we still expect more konami.


so basically my rank goes like - 2,3,5,4 (never play suikoden 1)

@eonridr : Oh, that means when after you and Jowy jumped into the waterfall, youve got to seen the intro but only with brown color (means to flashback) but you can get the color mode intro after beat Rowd's soldier 108x.

Since suikoden III, the storywriter is changed. that;s means the storyline is a bit bothered to us. Hiks, i like suikoden 1 and 2 storyline.

about the sukoden story line...

suikoden II must be the best... about the story line, whoah... really2 good...

honor, friendship, love, mix into the storyline...

Yeah and that's makes suikoden II is the best selling around all Suikoden series.

the "Stars", Runes and the Headquarters is Suikoden's signature, plus the war battles with mini soldiers. :lol: gosh, i love this game to death... Suikoden1, 2and3, one greatest RPGs to land on this planet........didnt have the time to play 4 and 5 though.....

couldn't agree more. and then.. u really no need to play 4 & 5.. mayb u can go scan through the storyline over internet to catchup suikoden storyline..

Yeah the game for suikoden 4 & 5 is not really good as before.
Anyway i got to read SUIKODEN 3 manga now.
