well... i've started this thread as a question has been bugging me. i know this drama is kinda old, but i do think this is one of the classics.

this is for those who have watched this series: did michi (nanako) wake up or was it just hikaru (hideaki)'s dream?

Which part are you referring to? Do you mean the ending of the last episode?

Well, i believe she woke up... It's meant to be a happy ending with everlasting love that transcends age, social status and all forms of disapprovals.

It's also meant to look like the intro scene. Makes it more... meant to be... and sweet too.

wow! thanks the_chap. u're the first person tt has answered me. guess no1's interested in old j-drama like i do.

anyway, it may also be jux a dream by hikaru, dun u tink so? it jux seems so impossible for michi to wake up jux after 1 mth. tot the doc hinted (a vague one, probably to make us guess the ending ourselves) tt she'll may become a veg?

Well, for things related to coma and vegetative states and stuff like that... nothing is certain.

For comas, it's believe that the person is simply asleep just not waking up... something like that.
For veg states, it's basically severe brain damage and thus brainfailure. There's been reports of people able to wake up from that, just not like they used to... even though brain cells can't regrow...

Well, it's just a drama... it's always best to have happy endings, cept for taiyo no uta...
