Oh.... Roxy, of course !!! I knew you have good taste...
I liked Lisa when she sang for Damien... now, I don't know her music very well. I heard her "Other voice" sessions... I got the mp3... (Blurry, Courting Blues, Splishy Splashy and teeth + 2 interviews...). She can play guitar, but Damien plays better, and I prefer Damien's song so far...

Shrek 3 XD Closer XD

His voice is haunting :o I love to listen his albums before sleep.

Yes, he is everywhere. "Lost", "Grey's anatomy"... "Closer" (movie)... "SHREK 3"(animated movie)... "Stay" (movie).
Have a HUGE success in the U.S., Great Britain, Sweden and of course IRELAND !
He will be in Japan this summer (July 27th at Fuji Rock Festival) ;) and Korea (July 28th at Pentaport Rock Festival) !!! But to me, the more important thing... he will be in Paris the 4th and 5th of july... I will be there (on 5th only). :)

Hmm, I've heard some of his songs before on the Radio.
Can't remember the names though. One if it...was..."Dogs"?.
The song was with piano if i remember correctly.

Glad to see people who know or like him. He is a genius. Yes, "dogs" is one of his songs, but I think he have never played it on piano. It should have been "9 crimes" (that you can hear in Shrek 3) or "rootless tree". The song "dogs" is like "coconut skins" and "older chests", based mainly on his acoustic guitar and some light drums for "dogs" and light cello for "older chests". In fact, "rootless tree" was first composed on guitar, but Damien learn piano and have made an arrangement for piano and mostly always play it on piano on stage until now. He began to learn piano after the released of his first album O.

rootless tree (guitar) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rndltmm3oE

rootless tree (piano) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlnpedLeGbo

ps : "9 crimes" have a version based on the guitar, "rootless tree" have a piano version, but dogs don't have a version based on piano, because of its specific composition, definitively written on guitar and for guitar. (of course good pianists can play it on piano... all can be played on piano ! It just needs an arrangement).

Yeah, It was "9 Crimes"!! :o That was the one with the piano. I remember now. ^_^

It was quite a hit over here on the radio.

Anyway, I might gonna check out his "Nine" Album.
(According to the Chinese Zodiacs, 9 is mine lucky number for this year :P )

(PS: You guys already seen Shrek 3? It's not even in theaters here. Coming soon though)

Yo Shifty ! Can I ask where you're from ?
Nine is a very good album. O (not zero, but O...) is my favorite though...

I watch Natalie Portman movies.... and Damien Rice's song "The Blower's Daughter" was used as the theme song for the movie, Closer. I like that song... it sounds sad, but it's still a really good song.

Lots of Damien Rice's songs are dolefully beautiful... He often jokes about this statement in his gigs...
