I looked at chord F and i have no idea how i should position my fingers to play it.

Can anyone help me?

Yes you can hold two strings with one finger.

But actually, for the F chord, you are suppose to use one finger to hold down ALL strings.

Your index finger is suppose to hold all the strings on the 1st fret like a bar (hence it is called a bar or barre chord).

Try going through the YUI Guitar Tabs and look for Reset's posts. Some of his scans have a chord chart which includes the positions and fingering diagrams and pictures. The resource is there, so make use of it.

An F chord doens't have to be a barre chord. So its not a must to hold down all strings. :P

^ that's if you are playing with the 'cowboy' style (string no 5 & 6 are not plucked) :lol:

There are still F chords at other positions on the fret. :P

I hold down fret 1 for both string 1+2 with finger 1... fret 2, string 3 with finger 2 and fret 3, string 4 with finger 3. I only just found out that you don't play string 5 and 6, from spica.

I play F with the full bar... It sounds nicer to me... It is the toughest chord to me though... It was the first barre chord I knew and I really stuggled like crazy to get it right... Good thing its easier now...

Can you get it automatically without delays? That would be cool if you could. I think B was my first barre chord, either that or the F. Everyone always says F is dreaded and stuff, and it is. So I play the easier version. ^__^ It'll sound the same until I can play the real version..

It's funny that I can switch full bar F way faster than the 1123xx version :swt

the thoughest? i think barre dim & sus chords are hard to play (yes there is one diminish chord in Cloudy) :swt

F is also harder since its right at the top of the fretboard where the tension is the greatest x3.

That pic is small, but I noticed there is something where the skin meets the nail on her ring finger. Perhaps she got a little cut?? Or perhaps just a flaw in the photo??

When I read what you had to say, snake, I went back and looked at the pic. It does look like a cut, but for some odd reason, at the same time it looks like a mole or something. XD I don't think it would be, considering the spot.
