I would like to know what kinds of mangas pples likes to read and why.
this is my very first topic starter ~ sorry if its lame ^_^
Edit: And then I realized there's already another topic about it ^^;;;
I don't think it's a lame topic, but I hope you'll answer your question too ^^
As for me...I'd have to say it's a three way tie between Death Note, Marmalade Boy, and Confidential Confessions. It's pretty obvious why I like Death Note, it's just...very addicting. (It does get a little less interesting after an incident with L). Marmalade Boy has always been a favorite-- it's too cute, especially Miki and Yuu (although Meiko's my favorite character). And Confidential Confessions...I don't really know why I like it, it's always been intriguing...and I always kept buying it.
I don't read a whole lot of manga though =X And when I do, I only tend to read/collect short series.
I wouldn't even know where to start! ^_^ I 'll just show what some of my favorites are:

^_^ I really like the romantic comedys
Death Note was once my favourite too..The story is original and the mangaka really knows how to develope it. It could have been a masterpiece if the later part of the series is developed with the same attitude.
Marmalade boy is nice. I'm kinda a fan of Yoshizumi Wataru and enjoy lots of her series. My favourites are Ultra Maniac and Handsome Girlfriend.
Confidential Confession, hmm..never heard it before so I looked for some reviews,

Each volume contains 1, 2 or 3 short stories, which aren`t connected and characters are different in each story. That means that you can read the second story from the third volume without reading the first story from the first volume and so on. Stories have various story-lines, but what is common for all of them, is that they deal with serious problems of teenagers theses days – such as drugs, prostitution, violence, death, loneliness, love, stalking and many more. If you are fond of comedies and easy-reading mangas – I DON`T recommend you “Confidential Confessions” ! There are many things that will make you ponder over your life, yourselves and over the world you live in. The stories are quite realistic and most of them don`t have the traditional “happy end”
Only for people with steady mentality! |
seems interesting!
I read Hana Kimi too, but soon got bored of it haha..no offense
Swtme03. The story is developed very slowly and doesn't really offer you something new in each story. It's just my feeling though..
It's nice talking about manga here..And it would be even nicer to talk about it in
the already existed thread. So, my aplogize for closing this thread.
