Update:
1st June 2008

Huzzah...whether or not you saw this coming, its here. This topic has been queried for about a week or maybe even longer than that. I went around and asked everyone if they were interested, surprisingly, everyone said yes!

Apparently, I'm the organizer, I guess that's why I'm here posting this topic here right now. :swt I'm kind of hoping that there will be more people interested in this (any Sydney leechers out there?) in the future, but this amount is a good start. If any of you guys know anyone in Sydney who likes YUI or Jpop in general, go bribe them to come join us!
Due to school and "other things" , there is no set date yet. I think this should be a topic for us to discuss where we could go and when we're all free. We'll also need to discuss how everyone is going to meet, so no one (*cough*me*cough*) gets lost.
I really hope that this actually comes to place someday, because it would be fun and a great experience for all. Hmm...anyway, I think discussing here is kind of more efficient, unless you're dashwolf who barely visits anyway. XD I feel kind of sad because I cant bring a friend with me...no one is a YUI fan.. T____T Gahh...this doesn't feel right. ME posting this topic is just plain wrong.

speedphantom - April 30, 2007 12:02 PM (GMT)
Ahh!! Its so unfair!! Wahhhhhhhhh! :(

What about the Melbourne people! Who are the other Melbourne YL members?

Hope you guys have fun though :D

cherii - April 30, 2007 12:12 PM (GMT)
Damn...my post looks like it's full of crap. T_____T Anyway...I think there's one more in Melbourne, I think. Just a few points that I thought I'd mention..

dashwolf said he'd probably go for the food, so we'll go to some kind of restaurant or something. I know practically nothing about the city, so whoever knows could recommend some places. We'll discuss the prices of how much they cost and stuff like that. I think we should have a look around, and the 'oldies' could give a tour to us 'young ones'.

I'd really like going around Chinatown, so that's a must. Gee...now I'm wondering how much money i'm going to spend. >_<" We have to find out a date when we're all free or something. We also need to find out where to meet up, how we're going to get there and stuff like that. I want us to meet up AFTER my braces come off..haha. XD Anyway, if you guys disagree to anything I've said...go right ahead and say.

gnaxiw - April 30, 2007 12:44 PM (GMT)
Hah hopefully this outing works out fine for you cherii..

cherii - April 30, 2007 01:01 PM (GMT)
Why just for me? I'm not the only one doing this outing? Lol...I'm not going to be out in the city by myself...I hope, anyway. Where are all the Sydney YUI Lovers?

sonic87 - April 30, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)
Lol... All the best for your outing Cherii... Looks like you are the one looking forward to it the most...

gnaxiw - April 30, 2007 01:12 PM (GMT)
Cos your the organizer! Goodluck!

sonic87 - April 30, 2007 01:12 PM (GMT)
yea... All the best for your planning...

cherii - April 30, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
Wow...this is sad. No one else is replying! x3 Thanks you guys. Hmm...I'm still the youngest out of the bunch. Of course I'm going to be excited. ^__^

sonic87 - April 30, 2007 01:15 PM (GMT)
Haha... You have to be... Or else no one will go...

cherii - April 30, 2007 01:21 PM (GMT)
Yes...if it wasn't for me, there'd be nothing. XD Ok...I need to tell everyone that the thread exists...haha. Thanks for fully spamming on the topic already, sonic. -_______-

sonic87 - April 30, 2007 01:48 PM (GMT)
No i didn't... I just made it a hot topic so people will view it... Lol... ok... i shall not comment extra crap anymore here...

rubberduck - April 30, 2007 01:51 PM (GMT)
Fine, I'll be the first Sydney YL to reply..

I think that's a great idea.. I imagine Dashwolf would be the best person to ask about restaurants etc. I know a few, but I think he'd know more... I know Ramen-kan is near Chinatown, that's not a bad restaurant..

Hehe.. bracers.. When do you get them off Cherii?

cherii - April 30, 2007 01:53 PM (GMT)
Whoo! *throws a party, chucks out sonic* He told me he knows mostly the expensive + Japanese restaurants. If you guys want to have a Japanese meal, we'll have to ask dash on that later. Braces...off in about 8 weeks. June? Gahh...still so long. @.@

rubberduck - April 30, 2007 01:56 PM (GMT)
Hmm.. June eh? My birthday is in June

I'll also be moving house around that time.. I think..

cherii - April 30, 2007 02:02 PM (GMT)
I thought you said you were going to Japan for your birthday? Lol...maybe you were joking. Hmm...I don't really mind if its before, but we need time to organise this and since some of us aren't very active/we don't chat often, its kind of hard.

rubberduck - April 30, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
I've explained that :wink

June should be ok for me.. I might be going to Melbourne for my birthday, not sure yet.. But I'll keep you updated.

I'll be moving house towards the end of June I think.

cherii - May 1, 2007 07:22 AM (GMT)
Huh? Out of Sydney? :o This seems quite funny since its pretty much just us two, the others probably don't know about it, and the spammers.

liangz - May 1, 2007 09:41 AM (GMT)
Hahaha, you really want to go Chinatown. ^_^ AND I KNOW WHY! XD Well, I'd love to come... but yeah, I'm in Melbourne. Haha. Living an hour away from the city will make it hard but good luick nevertheless! XD

cherii - May 1, 2007 12:15 PM (GMT)
Haha...if you ever feel like joining liangz, you COULD come and drive over here, or walk or swim or hitchhike...haha. I want to go to Chinatown because the last and only time I ever got to go and realize it, I wasn't into Japanese stuff or anything Asian at all...so I really just want to see what its LIKE.

br4d137 - May 1, 2007 06:37 PM (GMT)
MAN this suck >_<

i wanna have a America YUI-lover Meeting....

sigh... alrights it settled ima drive to Toronto and pick up everyone else on the way..

s0l1dsn8k3 - May 1, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
brad, I suggest you come up to Toronto by the weekend of July 1. That way, you can celebrate Canada Day with us, as well as extend your trip through the 4th of July Independence Day holiday.

tsunvun86 - May 2, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
Awww this is so sad....
So close yet so far.....
I'm in Brisbane :huhuhu

speedphantom - May 2, 2007 05:03 AM (GMT)
Ah that sucks! Are there any other YL people in Brisbane?

rubberduck - May 2, 2007 06:46 AM (GMT)
You guys and girls could always organise a trip to Sydney for a weekend

cherii - May 2, 2007 07:26 AM (GMT)
Lol. That's a possibility. I find it sad that akuchan, evelyn and dashwolf don't visit the forums anymore...or atleast this topic. Anyway, ducky do you have any ideas? Maybe something to add...

akuchan - May 2, 2007 07:40 AM (GMT)
i do visit the forum lol, unfortunately i Am in yr 12 (not that im studying or anything, but just the fact that im in yr 12 is good enough excuse XD) worse year of school everrrrr
still a while till july so im just staying quiet and see what ideas everyone else comes up with
hmmm need a good place to eat? mcdonalds!! lets go, hahah, see... i'll jus keep quiet

cherii - May 2, 2007 08:13 AM (GMT)
Haha...I'm wondering..would you guys want to hang out at a restaurant or a cafe? Hehe...do you want to eat Japanese? Chinese? Or just anything is fine? I've never actually had Japanese, besides sushi, so I'd like to try it. =\ Dashwolf mentioned he knows a few, but they're a bit expensive...for me anyway. XD If there's any place you want to drop by or something...speak now. ^^"

EDIT:
Are you guys busy anytime in JUNE though? In the weekends...
We should work to find out what day suits everyones preferences more- Saturday or Sunday. I had a little look of the restaurants around...but I really think I don't know where we're even going to meet-up. Too many train stations... Unless you guys want to walk far to get around, we'll need to find a restaurant and stuff close to, or inside Chinatown...

We'll also need to be able to tell who is who. I guess we all need to know what we all look like beforehand so that we don't just look at each other and think we're strangers.. :swt Which station is the best choice to meetup and is more of a convenience? I've had a lot of free time today, so I let my mind wander and it got here..=="

If we can't find anywhere to dine, we could always bring our own food and have a picnic. ^^" Are you guys allergic to anything, vegetarian or the like? I don't think we could bring guitars, could we? :guitar It'd probably get smashed in the train for me.

cherii - May 4, 2007 08:06 AM (GMT)
Okay, since this topic is kind of not progressing or anything..we'll either need to postpone it and wait for more Sydney people, or discuss it on msn.

s0l1dsn8k3 - May 4, 2007 02:49 PM (GMT)
keep posting ... throw ideas. For ours we didn't really get off the ground for like 2 months.

But then again I used the album MO as an excuse to have them come out for a meeting.

cherii - May 4, 2007 03:42 PM (GMT)
Well...don't really have anything to offer. What if I give whoever comes $5? XD Hmm...not that cheap, are you guys? ^^" Well I don't really know exactly what is in the city, because I hardly ever go.

akuchan - May 4, 2007 10:43 PM (GMT)
hmmm there's cinemas, kinokuniya..not really a place to hang out though lol, arcades..galaxy world =D a couple of music/movie shops with limited japan and korean music.. mostly chinese and .....i dunno if anyone wants to go karaoke  have no idea if they have any yui songs there though

i rather july than june U_U holidays hehe
btw where r all the other sydney yui lovers

evelyn - May 4, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
-never knew the existence of this thread till today-

OIIIIIIIII JUNEEEEEEEEE -project deadlines-
Err no, I guess it's only my stupid new design deadline.

We can storm Kino =D there was this one magazine with YUI on the cover and ELLEGARDEN's Takeshi's interview D= I wanna buy but no money T________T *shakes fist at UVER*

So we can... lunch + storm kino + chinatown?

cherii - May 5, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
Haha...I guess that was the main plan all along. Well, apparently at the end of June, Dashwolf will be going overseas, so it'll either have to be before then or we could go without him. ^^" I know that July is more convenient, especially probably at the time there'll be some exams coming my way, but if things get out of hand, we'll change the 'date' to July.

Thanks for your input guys, I'm just wondering about the lunch part- do you guys just want to wander around until we find somewhere we like, or have an actual place to go to? XD

akuchan - May 5, 2007 01:52 PM (GMT)
i got a great idea....
lets find some really really good restuarant and get one of the older guys to shout us all =D

cherii - May 6, 2007 05:13 AM (GMT)
Hahaha... *points to rubberduck* Thats a good idea, just need to find one now. ^^"

e-ma. - May 6, 2007 08:34 AM (GMT)
*read entire thread just now*

I live down the south coast~ about 4 hrs from Sydney, but I'll come! ^^

There was a korean karaoke place in Sydney that had a couple of YUI songs..... it was only $5 per person/hour. So not bad! The other karaoke places we went to had NONE x_X;;

Uh... yeh.... I'll wait and see if I'm invited before saying any more.

cherii - May 6, 2007 09:50 AM (GMT)
@e-ma: Anyone is welcome to come and join us! ^__^ The more the merrier~ That sounds really nice...but I can't sing. XD I live about 1 hour from the city...and I think the guys are less an half an hour or something. We'll need to confirm something, so what is everyone happy with doing?

Here's what we can do so far...Chinatown, lunch, kino, (movie?), arcades + karaoke. The bolded are definite, everything else is optional. Heh. What day is more convenient for you guys? Saturday or Sunday? Rubberduck, how long will dashwolf be gone for?

rubberduck - May 6, 2007 10:26 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (cherii @ May 6 2007, 04:13 PM)
Hahaha... *points to rubberduck* Thats a good idea, just need to find one now. ^^"

Echo Point on Pitt St has a couple of YUI songs. That is the best karaoke that I know of.

Dash is gone for a month. So, pretty much all of the holidays.

iron_turkey - May 7, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)
