Hey everyone i found this site while searching about Region Codes
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.phpjust put in your dvd player brand and model number in the search and hopfully there are instructions on how to change the region of you dvd player
this helps me alot =DD now i dont have to buy a new dvd player to watch my Taiyou No Uta DVD

Aww, they don't have a hack for my sony DVD/VCR player though ;) haha, I'll try my PS2 next. Yay, hopefully I can finally watch my dvds now, since my other (non-region coded) dvd player broke.

My gosh. Haven't visit that site for so long that I forgot about it. I would have suggested that to you, Frozen, if I remembered it.
I purchased a Yamaha DVD player back then because has good quality plus codes that can make it region free.

Hmm... Great site :thumbsup: I usually use slysoft software called AnyDVD to make the region program solved

haha i just found out that my Diamond Vision DVDV807-04 was region free out of the box even though it said it was region 1 and it was only 25 bucks too =DD now i just need to move it to the big screen tv

hmmmm probably not now... I wouldnt by any blu-ray or HD players right now...
but maybe in the future....
Just like DVD players... when u first got it... it was around $1000
and thats for a heavy... hot ... and non compatible... player..
i got my player for $20 bucks... its less then a pound... plays DVD-R+ and -
different regions... Jpegs... avis... everything...
so in the future...
i think this will happened for the blu-ray and hd players..
so if ur not in a hurry... just wait...

Tell your dad to buy you a PS3. And tell him that it plays Blue Ray discs...
