Title: Easiest YUI Song To Play?
MisotoKabashite - April 24, 2007 11:31 AM (GMT)
Hi, i'm getting my guitar this week or on the first day of May. And I was thinking, what is the easiest YUI song to play?
I heard it was It's A Happy Line, but if there's any other easy ones i would like to know.

Have you been playing guitar beforehand? It depends which chord you think is hardest. I'd say Tokyo is easiest, but the strumming patterns will throw you off for a while if you're not that great at picking them up. I think It's Happy Line is a bit faster, so it might be a problem with changing chords. The chords themself are pretty easy, except for F, which you may have problems with. (bar chord)
If you haven't been playing for too long, you should try stretching exercises...they help with getting the chords with more ease. Anyway, you can wait until the professionals come in. XD

Yeah, I've played it before but i wasn't really playing it serious kinda. I just started strumming through the strings XD
Stretching exercises as in like regular stretching?

I remember you is also another easy song, which is what I've started with. It helps when you like the song.
Choose the one you like the most between I remember you, Tokyo, and It's happy line. They all have 1 barre chord in each of the song so it's not that bad.
Concentrate on the chord fingering first, then try to apply the correct strumming once you feel comfortable enough.

Im getting my guitar this week too!
i'll try its happy line probably.
Thanks!

My favorite one is I remember you, so i'll try that one. Arigatou gozaimazu.

Tokyo, I Remember You and It's happly line are all relatively easy songs to start with...
I started by Good Bye Days... Cos that the very first song I heard from YUI... Flashbacks of taiyou no uta are coming back to my mind now...
MisotoKabashite - April 27, 2007 11:58 AM (GMT)
Goodbye days was my second song i heard from YUI.
My first song was Rolling Star.
But anyways, i'm learning I remember you ( the tabs andf stuff )
But it's kinda hard...
Without my guitar being here yet.

it's like the world is taunting me now.
Everywhere i go i see at least SOMETHING related to a guitar.
TV - Person playing a guitar, or guitar in the background
HW - Mentions a guitar
Books - Mention guitar
Here - Mentions guitar stuff
It's even in my school, in my humanities class my teacher has her acoustic guitar on her desk. And guess what? I'm right in front of her desk >< I so can't wait to get it.

hey! nice enthusiasm for guitars! guitar is one of the few great things that happened to my life. Before I got it, it didn't seem much. But now that I do, I can't imagine living without it, I bring it everywhere I go. No, really. =)
And well, don't stress yourself into learning songs straight away. Just play around, get a feel of your guitar, then move on. Most important thing is, learn the Major chords well first. Play around with them, get used to the fingering, and build up the skin on your fingers. Trust me, when playing acoustic, it's quite essential. And regarding stretching, it's about stretching your fingers. Usually when you start out, they're really stiff, and I remember mine was so stiff, I couldn't change chords properly. But all that came in time. Just really really enjoy yourself while you're at it. It's an effort that will bring joy in times to come! =)
By the way, I tried to play Good-Bye Days when I first started off. I sucked. XD Then now, few months after, after learning a whole bunch of other songs, it's easy to play already. I've leveled up! XD I'll try to play Happy Line and the others when I get the time. But in the meantime, Good-Bye Days will do just fine. =)
So, take it easy okay? Walk before you run. =)

Wow. Well when you get your guitar it'll be that much better!!
I just got my 1st guitar today!! (Sunday)
Theres alot more to it then i thought.
Reading music, strumming, different chords, not hitting the wrong strings, tuning.

Supposedly I'm supposed to get my guitar today, but I'm not sure if my dad is busy today. ( He's taking me to the place )
Hopefully i'll get to get it today XD
Hanai - April 30, 2007 02:13 PM (GMT)
For me. now the easiest song to play is My Generation.
Certainly, i've learned for 4 days. Hehehhe.
It makes me too learned out this song.
But still make some mistake at the ending solo version.
cherii - April 30, 2007 02:23 PM (GMT)
Haha. That's for you, Hanai. My Generation sounds like a hard-ish song to play, especially since its pretty fast too. Good luck with your new guitar! Don't bang it when you get it home! XD
sonic87 - April 30, 2007 02:28 PM (GMT)
I don't have an electric... So I'm not going to try the solo portions first... Till I get my electric... That will be the day i should be able to read tabs and play my generation with it...

hanguknamja - April 30, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
