I don't think the verse is just A & E... I already heard F#m, G#m and C#m in the verse already... I don't have a guitar right now to confirm my hearings... ( I'm at work now...)

I agree with you. After listening to it a couple more times I hear more than just A and E. THere is definatley a F#m in there.

Darn it... I'm stuck at the pre-chorus...

But I think some part of the chorus need abit of amending... Can I do So???

Anyway...

I think for the 2nd line of the chorus should be F#m | G#m | A | B... Cos it sound like a natural progression...

and for the 2nd last line it should b F#m | G#m | A | B | A...

Well... I could be wrong... Fault me if I'm wrong... So that we can learn YUI's songs together...(B4 Sony release the offical tabs...)

This is the tabs for the solo part where YUI is plays in the middle of the song. Add a big slide at the beginning and some muttings n you're good to go. :D

b - bending

eg.
6b7 - bending from 6th fret to 7th fret tune = half step bending
6b7b6 - bending from 6 to 7 and then releasing it back to 6

but what's the meaning of bending?? does it mean hammer on??

Bending is when you bend the string just enough so it makes a sound like a note up or down in pitch.

In this case, 6b7b6 implies,

• You place your 3rd finger on the 6th fret of the 4th string.
• Place you 2nd finger on the 5th fret of the 4th string. (This is optional, just in case you don't have the strength to bend the string. You can also use 3 fingers, which will make it a lot easier)
• Pick the string.
• After picking the string immediately push the string upwards, keeping the 3rd finger pressed.
• When you've reached the note that you want, bend the string back down to its normal position.

i still dont really get it :swt

does it mean that im suppose to pick the string on the 6th fret of the 4th string and then kinda slide it to the 7th fret till the note that i want and then slide it back to the 6th fret??

anyway, i'll try it out on my acoustic tomorrow after im back from my exam :swt and see whether it sounds similar to the bridge part of 'My Generation' :swt

Actually you're literally bending the string.
You press on the string and you push up(towards you) or push down (towards the floor).

And yes.. bending can be bending up or bending down, eq. towards you or towards the floor.

But for this solo... it's easier to bend using one finger for position sake. It'll be tedious to shift all three fingers to the left to bend it.

For the intro , i use 4 fingers to play it. (cause my finger are short)
it makes my small finger hurt.

But no problem, at least i can play the rest of YUI song
