Ok, time to say good-bye to our Rolling Star skin! We're changing layout on our forum now. The new skin is NOT based on the new layout of www.YUI-net.com with varied color and green dominating the web. Instead we're back with soft color after used to red color that sometimes tiring my eyes.
The real reason is I'm too lazy to make a new skin based on my coding ability.........) :P

The skin was made by Zeus00 of the www.ifskinzone.net. As you have probably knew that our previous skins wome were made bu him with several modifications by me.

This new skin will be accompanied by YUI's UPCOMING CHE.R.RY single info banner!


The forum banner, markers, and modified titlemedium were all designed by AditZ. Images taken from YUI official website. The buttons made by -jeckz*bluez- at DABOJE ZONE.

There will also additional label for admins and mods with new design.

The skin was made on 22nd and officially launched on 28nd February 2007

Yea, but how to fix the small font size? It's easy. Hold down your control button then scroll your mouse. It will work.

The font colours, especially the Forum titles on the main forum page, makes the site kind of hard to read because it is too similar to the background colour. Can you put a little bit more contrast in the colour combinations, such as darker text colour?

And one more thing. For links. There is no more "underline". If the link's text is the URL itself (http:/whatever/) then every knows it is a link. But if I am to do the link with the text "here", it's difficult to know that it is a link. Please either use a different colour or underline, or anything else to make it stand out from the rest of the text?

Looks good. However I have to agree with s0l1dsn8k3, the underlining of URLs has disappeared and has made it a little difficult to see links.

Perhaps pink highlights would work well..

After the Red Rolling Star Theme. This New Blue CHE.R.RY Theme sure looks refreshing.
It's definately a bit "softer" compared to the previous one.

Thanx for the input. I'll chnage the font color a bit more contrast. I didn't realize that not everyone has the same bright monitor. So what the color you want me to have in the forum?

Thanks for fixing the links, AditZ. The text and the underline for the links are the same colour as the regular text. The mouse-over colour is in between the background and the current text colour. You can still see it if you pay attention but it's not obvious. At least it now has the underline so it is clearly seen and recognized as a link.

As for the text colour, perhaps a darker blue (navy blue??), like the words in the top banner. If you make the text darker, then you can have the hovered-links colour to be either a different colour (rubberduck suggested pink) or a the light-blue colour that is currently used for the text.

And may I also suggest to use a dark blue for the outer most background (on the left and right side beyond the frame of the forum). For those that have widescreen or screen resolution 1024x768 or larger, the dark background surrounding the forum would give the forum the contrast, and the lighter-coloured forum can naturally become focus of the readers.

I'm not really a web/graphics designer. I'm just giving these suggestions from my experience on other sites.

I think the font size should be increased.. although we can use ctrl + mouse scroll, it's quite troublesome to use it on every page as i like to open many tabs when viewing threads. In addition some mouses don't have scroll!
