I have a feeling Fender is probably going to make a customized acoustic or electric for YUI soon too with custom inlays on the fretboard, paintjob and other modifications. That would be nice.

Fender will probably do that once Yui hits some sort of milestone.. Like the Hello Kitty Fender..

Huh? I didn't know she played a Martin. Must be big for her, since Martins are usually bigger than Fender acoustics and Yamahas.

I love the first video, and think it is one of the best musical performance I have seen in a long time. You can really imagine her sitting in front of a train station and playing just like that....

We kinda have a thread before on this, someone captured some caps from It's happy line PV and made speculations on what guitar YUI's using in the PV. Someone said since Martins are expensive, maybe she borrowed it or bought a used one XD

In YUI radio 18 YUI was playing around with a black strat, guess now she has 4 electric guitars :P

She clipped the Kyser capo on the headstock. :( Buuut, the guitar does look old in that screen capture, but the 1st capture looks different. It could be the camera angle and reflection of the camera lights etc. Hmm, the headstock looks like a Martin. The top has that distinctive Martin 'flatness' that looks similar to a Martin. It could be the Martin that she's playing in the PV except a newer version. OR maybe, it's an unknown guitar brand? I must research more on this...

Yeah, many acoustics have white binding especially on the higher-priced models.

Yep, her guitar probaly has a satin finish on back + sides of her acoustic, and gloss finish for the top piece. Hm, yeah, it looks like it's happy line PV has a glossy finish for the sides.

The Martin features in It's Happy Line and Feel My Soul.. Her first 2 singles. Maybe the Martin was a gift from her parents or something..

After Feel My Soul, she gets the sponsorship from Fender in time for Tomorrow's Way..

To let more people notice this thread, I'm gonna bump it with rumours.

Fender acoustics (Japan) just released a new series: FENDER ACOUSTICS ENSENADA SERIES. Apparently there's rumours around that YUI will be one of the artist using it.

From the looks of it, still kinda same as GA-45SCE, headstock different color. But the price is higher (for acoustic electric 178'500 Japanese Yen = 1470.78 US Dollar) and they described this series as the most prominent Fender ACOUSTICS SERIES available :blink:

Was wondering, why YUI doesn't use Guild guitars? It's part of Fender as well :unsure:

Got alot others, but YUI is the one who is more famous being associated with Fender.

As for the price, I think the price for Martin even more sweet B)

Hm, yeah, the ESA-10C looks like YUI's current guitar except it has different back + sides for wood. I think her current guitar uses Indian Rosewood, and this new guitar model uses SOLI PALO ESCRITO ROSEWOOD. The guitar below the ESA-10C has that Martin guitar shape.

I think YUI doesn't use Guild becuase Fender is a more well-known brand name. I have non-guitar friends who know the Fender brand even though they don't know ANYTHING about guitars. That's just my take on it. :)
