Title: Taiyonouta OST available in Singapore!
Description: local release @ the price of S$18.90!

Flare - December 31, 2006 05:09 PM (GMT)
I don't know if someone already mentioned this. But I found a "For sale in Singapore Only" export version of the Taiyonouta OST at Music Junction, Jurong Point. I bought it at S$18.90! Here's some shots:

I can't read hiraigana... So I don't know what tracks are in it, nor have I heard it yet... hahaha... Well, but I don't see Skyline or It's a Happy Line. It has a few tracks with Good~bye days on it, but I personally don't think it's the songs, probably the Instrumentals of it which were played during parts of the movie. Will post more after I've heard it...

Kai-san - December 31, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
Flare, how many copies are left when you bought yours?

Read in another forum that Sony BMG is importing the OST and looks like it's true. It costs as much as S$45 (includes shipping) just to purchase it via CDJapan, so it's definitely more worth to buy this version instead. Couldn't find it in a local CD shop when I tried a few days ago, time to resume the hunt!

If you want to sample the tracks first before buying the CD, you can download the OST via BT (torrent available at JPopSuki) but for the sake of supporting the movie, do buy the CD after that.

Below is the track list from the Neowing website. All 27 tracks are just instrumental pieces (no singing) and they are roughly in the order that they appeared in the movie. Those who loved the opening intro in the movie would appreciate the opening 4 tracks.

Let me tell you where to get another copy of that....

You know at Orchard MRT there are like 2 CD Shops side by side? It's on the same level as popular, i can't remember the names of the 2 CD Shops so forgive me on that. I saw the CD in one of the 2 shops less than a week ago. Not sure if any of you grabbed that copy though, the price is around $20 or slightly less. So if you're interested, you could try your luck there.

CD-Rama @ Jurong Point

MJ @ Causeway Point
TS @ Causeway Point
Audiophile @ Northpoint
Sembawang Music Centre @ Northpoint

No point going to all these points. :huhuhu

Going to hunt again tomorrow. If any of you see any shops with OST, please inform me....

Only consolation is that my Taiyo DVD has just arrived in one piece today. But my "From me to you" album which shipped 3 days earlier before the DVD hasn't arrived!

shazlee - January 4, 2007 02:01 PM (GMT)

Aurelio - January 4, 2007 05:37 PM (GMT)
i went to look for it at HMV @ Orchard. it's selling for $21.90 though. :P

Fanny - January 5, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
RESERVE ONE FOR ME PLEASE!! HAHAHAA

Kai-san - January 5, 2007 05:41 AM (GMT)
Mission accomplished, I bought the 2nd last copy of the OST at Orchard CD-Rama. 1 more copy left for you Fanny, check behind the Nana2 OST.

Orchard CD-Rama quite big sia.... most of the CD-Rama outlets I see are embedded in the Popular bookshop, but this one has a separate shop front by itself....

tasogare - January 5, 2007 11:27 AM (GMT)
I went to orchard again.
Left one OST.
I put it at the front roll so that everyone can see the Taiyou no uta de OST instead of NANA's.
There is more OST at the Top selling chart.
The OST is at no 10

glaxglider - January 6, 2007 03:24 AM (GMT)
wa.. so that means theres no more left for me?! NO!!!! :huhuhu

gnaxiw - January 6, 2007 06:18 AM (GMT)
All instrumental, so never thought of getting it.

Flare - January 6, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
Er, I think there's no more at Orchard CD Rama... there were 4 copies, 1 at the OST session, 1 at the Japanese Session and 2 at the Top 10 charts session...

But there's still a truck load at HMV Hereen @ S$21.95

Fanny - January 6, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
UNCLE FLARE THNX U SO MUCH HAHAHAHA XD

Kai-san - January 6, 2007 04:57 PM (GMT)
According to memory, the CD-Rama inside Popular at Jurong East MRT seems to be quite big.... but I haven't been there for very long. It's the next best place to look for the OST (no guarantees) if you are not willing to pay $4 more at HMV.

List of Popular bookshops and CD-Rama

If you are desperate, you can activate your friends who live near these locations to scout for you.

Hey Kai-san how much u ordered for the DVD of Taiyou and From me to you?

Hey Kai-san how much u ordered for the DVD of Taiyou and From me to you?

The album costs around S$40 from CDJapan inclusive of shipping.

Before I continue on the Taiyo DVD, some things you need to know:
Premium Edition (First Press) = Movie + Bonus DVD + Diary + Pick Pendant
Premium Edition (Non-First Press) = Movie + Bonus DVD
Standard Edition = Movie

The Taiyo Premium Edition DVD costs slightly above S$80 from CDJapan inclusive of shipping. I got the First Press version from CDJapan but CDJapan has already sold out its stock of the First Press. So there's only the Premium Edition (Non-First Press) left.

If you want the First Press version, you can still try YesAsia or Amazon but be warned that both websites do not explicitly list the availability of the First Press version. However, because the same Premium Edition costs around S$10 cheaper at YesAsia and Amazon compared to CDJapan, even if you don't get the First Press version, you still get the same thing in the end at $10 less. I hope you get the drift.

You can of course choose to get the Standard/Regular Edition instead. It's around S$20+ cheaper but you will not get the Bonus DVD with the making-of footage, deleted scenes, interviews and MTV.

Edit: Check out HMV JP also. I just found out that they slashed the price for the DVD, maybe it's because the First Press is sold out.

Crap! A fish got through the net!!! I missed 1 piece of the CD... Well, even if I gotten that copy as well, I wouldn't know what to do with it... Hahahha...

Anyway, I was wondering why I keep sneezing... Swing, you talking about me ah?

swing - January 9, 2007 01:28 AM (GMT)
i miss u mah, lol...

anyway, i played the CD on the radio to lull myself to sleep and had a lot of fun putting in scenes from the movies i remembered to blend with the songs..

i think the soundtrack plays in chronological order right? i sort of like rewatched the whole movie in my mind, how so very cool..

track 1 for example, was played for the 1st scene where we see the gorgeous YUI staring blankly out of the window waiting for koji.

the rest of the tracks gets a bit blurry, but track 14 i confirm is the scene where YUI had to run home and got a "SHOT" of UV.. i remembered that gripping music which made my heart beat as fast as although i was running alongside YUI, and i was getting so high like watching a horse race i stood up and shout, "faster, faster", since there was no1 else.. hehe.. then the music turns depressing- the depressing scene of her hiding behind the door, waiting for koji to leave..

haha, dunno la, just random guesses..

but its worth a try sia, rewatch the movie with just your mind, how cool can it get..

darrenSAN - January 10, 2007 03:47 AM (GMT)
yea.. i also have this feeling of like watching the movie while i listen to the whole tracks.

tonnsg - February 8, 2007 11:06 AM (GMT)
Yeah. I got my soundtrack last year at hmv. Pretty good. It was in the top 20 cds. haha..
