hmm...the first jsinger i heard was [haha...don't know the actual singer but...] the girl who sang the theme for the character "Shorty" on the PS game Bust-A-Move (Japanese version)

I saw a lot of people on Animax, and they showed a lot of music vids in a row so...

Singer: Younha, YUI!!!, Tommy Heavenly6

Band: High and Mighty Color(this is the band that actually got me interested in Jpop in the first place :) )

But if you're asking for the first I've heard then probly the openings to my fave animes... but problem is I didnt know the title of the songs and the singers back then(until i researched it on the internet) :)

I was too young to remember!!! Hahaha... I've been watching anime on TV (in various languages and dubbs, Think I watched all 3 generations of Robotech like 3 times on TV...) since 4 or 5...

One that I really do remember was Do you remember love from Macross: Do you rememebr love... Can't really remember her name... And then who's the guy who sung Midnight Blue? The ending theme for the Patlabor tv series? Or was it a band?

Then for a band... Hmmm... le couple? Change and Aska? That's when i was older...
