FLY TO THE SKY was created by their producer Soo Man Lee (Creater of S.M. Entertainment). He came up with the name predicting that these two would show music lovers that they would go high up in their success. As high as the sky.
Fly to the Sky, which includes Brian Joo and Fany (Hwan Hee), is mostly R&B oriented and also has minor influences of hip hop and pop music. Brian Joo and Fany (Hwan Hee) both perform vocal parts in their music. Brian Joo, on the other hand, also writes and performs his own rap lyrics.
Before their first album release, *FLY TO THE SKY debuted at the S.M. Festival Concert, and the LOG-IN H.O.T. SHOW. Ever since then, they captured the hearts of young female fans all over the world
In less then a year of their debut, *FLY TO THE SKY has gained global stardom in Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, China, and some parts of the US. They also took part in numerous interviews with various magazines in Korea and Taiwan. In there first month of album sales and performances, they obtained the title of ?Artist of the Month? in January for MTV Asia. They also were on MTV's Hot Seat for one month. Surprisingly, Fly to the Sky reached number one on most of the Korean cable music television channels with their debut song Day by Day. And always ranked within the top 5 with Fly to the Sky, I Don't Wanna Say Goodbye, and Beautiful Girl. At this point, they both knew that there was no turning back. All Fly to the Sky could do was keep on going and working their way up.
