last wk on 14th dec, 5 of us YUI fans met up to watch Taiyou no Uta on the big screen at Cathay cineleisure. pics here, credit to uncle flare, who lugged his camera and tripod along :P

After the movie, we first invaded the floor ad at the entrance to the theatres.

And we do mean take over... with our superbly cool poses... (Yeah, some nearby patrons really did ran away)

they should atleast show the movie for a month. its not fair.

"Midnight Sun" is distributed locally by Cathay-Keris Films (yes, it is under Cathay) and Lighthouse Pictures, so it would be logical for Cathay to limit the showing of the movie to just themselves and some rival who is willing to pay for the rights.

This way, Cathay maximizes the receipts while cutting down on publicity costs (no TV, newspaper, TVmobile ads, etc but able to see YUI everywhere at Cathay Orchard).

oh wow... that means GV is that "rival" who was willing to pay...? woots...! cheers for GV! lol... must be some manager at GV who is also a YUI fan.... heh....

Going to catch Midnight Sun by myself later today. None of my friends seem to be interested. :(

I think the movie timings from 21st onwards will be announced tomorrow bah, or else no one will be able to book any tickets online in advance.... The cinemas have to plan the theatre size and timing to be allocated based on the box office performance, it's all about profits and the bottomline.

saw it this morning....at PS... a pitiful 4 souls....(including me and a fren which i had to pull in...lol)... well maybe it's the morning show... hope the next few sessions do better....

on a side note... should have watched it at a Cathay cinema...darn GV doesn't even have a tiny poster to promote the show...lol.. was tempted to trysomething ala fanny and stick a foot in koji's mouth ... got popcorn and was given an eragon notebook... sigh... maybe could have asked for a midnight sun one instead... lol...

Ran to Cathay Orchard just now in the drizzle to catch "Midnight Sun". By the time I got to my seat, YUI already started warming up to sing "It's Happy Line".... :huhuhu

Around 20-30 people in the theatre I think, not bad, raises the hopes that Cathay will continue showing it coming week.

I went in at around 7.35pm for the 7.25pm show. I was expecting that there would be trailers to help buffer a bit and I was stunned when I went in. 10 mins of movie gone. :huhuhu

It's showing until 27th Dec at least. Perhaps Cathay might still be showing it in the 3rd week till the beginning of 2007. :lol:

Gv has a poster for midnight sun actually.

If your talking about ps. its at the lift infront of hall 6-10 actually.
