Title: Which uploading site works best for u?
AditZ - December 10, 2006 12:42 PM (GMT)
Guys, which uploading site works better for u? I realized that we can't stick with only 1 site to depend on. Sometimes this site sucks and sometime the other one sucks. They have limit for several countries and we can't really blame them for that.
As for me, I like:
www.megaupload.com ---> several times ago it was suck. But with the toolbar for IE we can download again without limit.
www.mediafire.com ---> I think its pretty new, but I kinda like it. Have no problem currently.
www.rapidshare.com ---> I don't really like it for the time waiting thing. But its's speed is awesome. Too bad it doesn't support download manager.
www.yousendit.com? Good but sometimes slow. And the file won't last long.....
www.4shared.com ---> Not really a problem, kinda good.
www.openupload.com ---> Kinda new but good.
www.quicksharing.com ---> Don't really know, pretty new for me.
www.megashares.com ---> Not a problem.
I hate
www.sendspace.com, it has a bad limit for some countries and sometimes won't even work...I like it when they were still new and didn't have any trouble at all like download limit etc.
I also don't like
www.badongo.com. It's not support download manager and also easily disconnected.
Well thats all maybe just for me. What about you guys? This could help uploader take consideratrion whenever they want to upload a file.
YOU CAN VOTE MORE THAN 1 FOR SITEs THAT WORK FOR YOU!

i usually do it on yousendit or sendspace if im just trying to send it to one person and not really try to host it since the time limit is so short...
rapidshare i think keeps it longer... i have a lot my old vids hosted on there... hmmm wonder if they r still active?
XMarksTheSpot! - December 11, 2006 02:08 AM (GMT)
Currently I'm having rapidshare premium account (actully my friend's), so this works the best for me.. ;)
4shared.com and my favourite box.net is good for uploading files under 10mb (192 kbps mp3 for example)...On box.net the files won't be deleted and the interface is really nice..
viettai - December 11, 2006 02:23 AM (GMT)
megaupload for me is fast download speeds and that toolbar is better than i thought i uploaded the music videos and lives in literally 5 seconds each maybe less
atheon - December 11, 2006 04:03 AM (GMT)
Didn't use download manager so......I'll just put down my experience with these websites.
I don't want to download the toolbar thingy for
mega upload lol.....that's why I hate mega upload :P Practically cannot download from it unless I installed the toolbar. No megaupload please.
I tried
mediafire once for uploading, it's pretty good, maybe i'll start using it next time. Don't know about the downloading though.
Normally I use
sendspace, yea it has the slots limit thing but eventually I'll get the file so I'm contented with it. It's easy to use as well, no time waiting, no security code bla bla.
Rapidshare changed the file name right??? put underscore between the spaces, it's annoying actually.
Lifeshare sucks. The downloads are unstable, kept on disconnected, have to redownload the whole thing over and over again. Maybe it is still new.
Yousendit, they didn't show you the progress when you uploading the files (how many % left), and it won't last long, now I seldom use it.
I think if I have to choose one I'll pick either sendspace or mediafire.
sora - December 11, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
I got to agree with atheon, liveshare really sucks, extremely slow and very unstable. I have used mediafire to download (have just downloaded MS that Atheon posted) and it's very fast....
all the others all okay..
megaupload - too much advertisement
yousendit - time limited...
rapidshare - okay..
sendspace - good but sometimes can be slow.
EDIT: uploading in mediafire and rapidshare are burdensome, it's slow and use a LOTS of resources....
Orange Toast - December 11, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
Yousendit has the fastest speed out of all of them by far. I can dl a 5 mb file in less than 20 sec, but the links only work for a short time. If I had to choose another i'd say sendspace, there's no download limit (i think) and no annoying wait time like the others.
lightknight49 - December 11, 2006 05:28 AM (GMT)
Yousendit and Sendspace are Pretty Good site download and speed Sometime but it Doesnt last long
viper92583 - December 11, 2006 05:49 AM (GMT)
yeah...liveshare sucks!
yousendit or rapidshare are the ones i usually go with, but for larger files, i stick with things like sendspace or MU...
the drawbacks for those are time waiting, country-specific download slots, and the files don't last long (disadvantages specific to each site, obviously)...but my upload speed will support YSI most of the time, so i tend to stick with it...download speeds are almost always good...of course, filefront in its hey day was insanely awesome...1GB file limit and 400kBps download, easy...
Reset - December 11, 2006 08:02 AM (GMT)
I am using send space max now as you can see.
It is the only one can keep file as long as max member. but it did not said how much space you have when I join, now I know only upto 10GB.
YSI also good, but even buy thier account file only keep for 14 days and under some firewall setting it will not work.
RapidShare and Megaupload always have those waitting time, and upload time seem longer then YSI or SS.
Dnee Chan - December 11, 2006 09:20 AM (GMT)
My preffered Now Is Megaupload since mozilla can use ab extension so no limit again and Megaupload Can Resume Broken DL. i Also Like
Turboupload It's quite fast and always can DL in every time. I don't Like Sendspace it's very unpleasant with No free download Slot and not support broken DL
Helixius - December 11, 2006 09:41 AM (GMT)
Yousendit works best for me, but i think it isn't very practical to have the file expire so quickly.
Sendspace works good. Although sometimes it says download limit exceeded, i could wait for another time and it eventually works.
Badongo works fine. Never encounter problems.
4shared works fine too, but i heard file size is limited.
Rapidshare sucks, never works for me at all.
Megaupload sucks too. I'm not willing to install the toolbar. For the mozilla extension, i have not tried.
The rest i have not tried.
;)
viettai - December 11, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
i don't think you have to download the toolbar before i didn't have it but was able to download files and i heard the extension works if you have the slot problem
cool i did that slots thing for fun and won 2 day premium lol i'm gonna download like crazy right now
marsalee - December 24, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
1. megaupload - nice... when it's fast it's real fast, and vice versa. (can resume downloads)
2. rapidshare - fast but can't use download manager (i guess...)
3. 4shared - works dandy fine! (for mp3s)
4. sendspace - erm actually you all can always get a free download slot, just translate the page with google. :)

AditZ - December 24, 2006 06:51 AM (GMT)
But it didn't work anymore... :(
gnaxiw - December 24, 2006 07:50 AM (GMT)
yousendit and sendspace. yousendit is by far the best imo.

atheon - December 24, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
Anyone tried these 2 websites before??? I wanted to upload a file which is over 300mb (means no sendspace, no YSI, mediafire down atm). Using megaupload now, think of creating another backup mirror.
Spread-itzuploador the ones mentioned above? QuickShare, Megashares or Badongo???

For those who cant download because the "service xxx country is busy"
You can Use Guardster proxy to hide your original ip/proxy to download, just make sure to uncek the no script part enjoy |
Saw this somewhere.. thanks to ~io.. sendspace totally rox now.
atheon - December 26, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
Yea the Guardster proxy thing rocks lol :P
stegt1 - December 26, 2006 04:27 PM (GMT)
1. Megaupload for me cos I can dl 10 things at same time HAHAHA. lol.
2. Turboupload is good cos nce you downloaded a file, you can download a different file I think.
3.Rapidshare and Sendspace is ok.
4. Yousendit downlaods expires quickly.
LAST. Badongo is crap. keeps giving me problems saying that I exceeded download limit when I cancelled a small download file.
Summary
Things that will get my downloads done= Megaupload, Turboupload Rapidshare and Sendspace.
Things that won't = Yousendit and Badongo. (SUCKS!!)

kaenzi - January 21, 2007 10:03 AM (GMT)
megaupload - cause with IE -> unlimited download
sendspace - good, if server busy just use
http://www.guardster.com/subscription/proxy_free.php ?
Yui As Infinity - January 22, 2007 04:40 PM (GMT)
I think Turbo Upload is better for me..
Media fire kinda sucks if download large file, and sometimes media fire change his address' file. im always failed, coz my download speed only around 4-5kbps. :damnpc
Rapid share... too hard to dl from there, dunno why, always invalid.
and the others site are standard. ;)
Riyu October3 - January 27, 2007 10:52 AM (GMT)
i like Megaupload.com ;) coz i can download files there without limit
Sendspace is kinda ok for me too ;) kinda like megaupload
Yousendit is also ok...But the only reason why it sucks is because the files will expire after 7 days XD
fullyinsane - February 5, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
The most hosting site i use most of the time to upload files is megaupload..once u install the megaupload toolbar u wont get country restriction..can resume broken upload too with direct speed [dont know how to explain]...and once u install mega manager u can set your download to 10x speed...
The main reason i like to use this after you set up an account [free account], u can have 50gb of online space [premium =250gb]...you can track all your uploaded files link by looking in the mega manager..no more to worry waste your effort uploading files in case you forget...wow i wrote too much like im promoting to use this
90 days expiry time of unused files..[so long]
actually i also use 4shared to upload files by using the 4shared uploader software...the download speed is awesome too...can download 3 files with awesome speed at same time if non-member....great interface...u can organize your file....
The rest:
badongo - still got an account...when i checked after 3 months..my uploaded files still exist [surprised]..i dont think the download speed will satisfy me...
yousendit - why expiry time of file so short and limited time of downloading too...if not because of that...i will use this most of the time since the download speed is great and can download many files at the same time
mediafire - when this site launced, the download speed so awesome and start to think of using this as hosting...but now i got many problem...sometimes the download page wont load...
sendspace - country restriction...lazy to do bypass each time want to download a file..sometimes cant resume a file
rapidshare - many choice of server to choose. but doesnt support download manager for free user
~io - February 13, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
i thinks Gudangupload is the best after all..
but there isnt any...
but it;s still fine as long as it's not Rapid
N73 - February 15, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
Sendspace: it always tell me i hit the 1GB lmit or is currently dowmnloading something else when i didnt.. clear cache also same problem, but speed is quite ok
megaupload: need to download the toolbar, sometimes also tells me to wait for existing download to finish etc etc
megashares: not bad.. but sometimes my passport left that few bandwidth when never use at all..
how bout this website?
http://www.uploading.com/
WhisperedFlame - February 16, 2007 09:16 PM (GMT)
I perfer MegaUpload since it's generally quite fast and doesn't have a very low maximum download limit. The rest tend to either be extremely slow or have like a maximum download limit of 1 MB per hour or something. RapidShare is one of the worst because of the download limit, sendSpace is kinda slow with maybe 50kb/s average. YouSendIt is nice except you can't upload big files quite as much as you'd like. Uploading files on any upload server takes awhile since my internet provider put a cap on upload speed at around 50 kb/s.
Padme - February 20, 2007 01:34 AM (GMT)
SendSpace works well, I like it better than MegaUpload.
I also use FileFactory sometimes.
simOOn - May 25, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
my computer is pretty friendly with all u/ling sites. i get the fastest speeds in megaupload and sendspace. they are becoming very popular
Dlyan - May 29, 2007 08:24 AM (GMT)

crazy_mantol - June 29, 2007 06:34 AM (GMT)
i think if u want to make collection of video,
stage6 or veoh is better site....
in this websites, u can manage your file like youtube as well.....
btu the different is u can download the video as well with the same quality like the person who upload the video... :lovepc
Dnee Chan - July 24, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
Got new Amazing Upload Site www.sharebee.com once you upload the file into sharebee the file will up on These Following Network: Sendspace, zshare,Megaupload,& Rapidshare
cherii - July 24, 2007 06:43 AM (GMT)
actually..i'm pretty fine with any uploading site. there doesn't seem to be m/any problems for my computer. i think i like sendspace most though...
CheMp3D4k - July 24, 2007 10:05 AM (GMT)
With my ISP, SendSpace is the best..
rintot - September 1, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)
4shared is my absolute fave among all ü
rapidshare and megaupload are fine too but i find their search function to be inefficient relative to 4shared XP
djwongtf - September 30, 2007 09:34 AM (GMT)
mediafire is nice..no w8ing time..
teguyfrom2l - October 18, 2007 03:56 AM (GMT)
Megaupload would be good if I could use my IE .. >.<
Copi - January 1, 2008 06:29 PM (GMT)
I can give you (Aritz or anybody) a gigasize account PREMIUM.
You can upload there. What do you say?
Pst. I've voted Megaupload^^
